Pete “the average trade is a 10. Well, sometimes it’s lower” * immediately gets infantry trades*

If you just look at the trades, it would seem the average is 7. However, you’re most likely to get a 10 set when you trade because people will wait for the hope of getting a 10 set. For example, if you have 3 infantry cards, if you wait another turn there is a 2/3 chance you will either get cavalry or artillery (not counting jokers). Then, the turn after that there is a 1/3 chance in getting the opposite of what you get before to make a 10 set. That means with 3 infantry, if you wait to have 5 cards you will have a 2/9 chance of getting a 10 set (plus the possibilities of jokers raises these odds slightly).

The play at 24:22 to move your stack to Middle East was one of the smartest moves I’ve seen someone play. Kept their Siam stack locked in, stopped them from transferring more from Siam/Asia into east Africa, and forced their hand into having a split stack or slamming into you. Haven’t finished the video yet but great play in that moment.

@@TheKillPeteStrategy While I agree, I do believe that this move was made before ased on the assumption that yellow wanted revenge for orange, when really, yellow could just as well have been saying. "I'm taking Africa, or South America" with his stance a couple moves precious to the move in question. Purple and green were fighting, and he was the big boy. It's very likely he did not want to suicide, especially when his collabe partner bit the dust. His main goal for the collaboration, was to set yellow up. If that was indeed happening. He clearly wanted to build one, if not both, of his accounts. That's why they collaborate with the same account right? So a double loss would be the worst outcome. Outside of the possibility of the collaboration, yellow definitly wanted to take both Australia and South America at the beginning of the game so I believe he was wanting to redeploy his plan, and pete was in the way.... and definitely killed his collab acct lol. So yea it was a good move, it may have also been a good option to fall back to the South America to defend it, let him take africa, or move into a position that didnt give him Africa, but let him take South America, like yelllow originally wanted. Green was a homie, and purps had soldiers flanking, so yellow would be stuck either having to suicide, or widdle you down if he was stupid enough. Your move to take yellow after he took both South America and Africa was perfect though. I also still maintain that you had a chance at winning after that move. One way you could've. You couldve receded into South America and defended, letting anyone take Africa. What would happen is, you look weak, have a great position. are strong allies with the weakest player, because of happenstance and the big boys fight it out. Yellow probs quit because you and purps were too strong after those moves and he didn't want to keep going. Possibly of course. I could be wrong about this entirely lol, especially since my.suggestion couldve locked you out of getting cards. Although in fixed that's not as bad, especially in true random, since you have the combo of seeming the second weakest, having the least cards to take, and the two big boys fighting and losing cards. And green again being your ally.

Pete, I played as a kid with my cousins (I am 43) recently a few months ago started playing on my phone, found your show etc. etc. When you ask "Are people getting better?" The answer is yes, I have been playing a ton better, I play on pc only now only so I can move faster, but I have learned a ton from you. There are strats that I never knew existed. You are teaching your enemies!! LOL

This seemed to me like a very clear collab as well. But, why did you report 1 of the 2 players rather than both? I also have had such encounters where one annoying person comes and stacks in my bonus. I tend to destroy them afterwards, but always lose by a person who is stacking somewhere near my "bonus," I just realized that that is a perfect way for a collab, but never realized it until now. I think orange wanted you to crash into him, so that he uses yellow to kill you. So, either way yellow would win. But, your patience stopped him. So, instead he attacked red since he thought that at least then yellow has a much easier time winning the rest of the game.

Hello! Newly subbed to the channel and I love your videos. Been loving the board-game since I was 10, but haven't been able to play since I did not know it existed on computer and mobile. Now this lost passion is reignited again and it is so much fun. I love the tutorial videos where you explain more in-depth about the mechanics of the game and some advanced tricks that aren't listed (6 version of bots for example). I would love to see more of these. One question I wonder about is if kills directly affect the ranking in ranked matches or not? I mean ofc it places you higher but as in the world tourney you had bounties which gave you points. Is this the case in ranked as well where you get more rank points if you get more kills or is it simply placement and other players ranks that matters? Keep the good content up! See you later :)

@@simonpeloquin982 No normal blitz, . I was the fish because I spawned in Australia. I know that no Australia no win is a thing, but I had 3/4 Australian countries already, so I went for it, and an expert(somehow lol), trapped me in australia(I didn't take bonus because clearly I would be broken, and I would lose troops. At some point, I only had 4 troops outside of australia(and the rest in australia, still being trapped, and the enemy entered my australia, and trapped me further, and they would probably set next round and kill me. So, I decided that I would try my 13percent luck since I was losing eitherway. I ended up killing the 9, and then eliminating the rest of that person on my side with my 4 that was right exterior of the australia bonus. From there, I remained alive for soo long(killed that annoying person), and somehow won(when My opponents outnumbered me for soo long, but where also at war).

So far watching this I have to say it feels as if when I play online there is ALWAYS 2 players who seem to just know how the other is gonna move and they always slam into me or blocks me from bonuses. I guess because my record is good or whatever it might be. But their movement is almost exactly what I saw in this match. I don’t understand cheating because you know your gonna win simply because of your unfair advantage. But if you win every match because of cheating then where is the fun at??? You already know your gonna win there is no competition and isn’t the point of these types of games competition

Collaboration in classic fixed is a problem I think the solution that SMG should implement is blocking any two accounts from playing each other over certain period of time. Force the collaborators to make new accounts each time.

This type of thing happens on a regular for me with the teaming, I'll report them and a week or so later I'll get a notification from the dev's saying they didn't reoffend so no action was taken... One of the main reasons I now mostly just watch you play and only occasionally actually play the game myself now, boring getting inted into for no reason other than for them to boost their friends rating (or themselves on another account)

you played that great but you are to loyal sometimes. you had it in your mind to play for 2nd but A lot of times in my experience if you and your enemy (purple) get to low, a temporary truce could be made or at least delay killing purple to even out green lead. but then you run the risk of pissing both off and getting 3rd. but hey I think you played it like i would since i do care about my rank. But what if right lol. Great game. always a pleasure watching you. you play so much like i do, maybe because i have noticed my game style change a lot since watching you.

I thought they collaborate even before orange moved his stack into south america. Because he blocked everyones bonus except yellows bonus while risking to get suicided into. When looking at orange and yellow as one player, it all seems like a viable strategy from a plasyer who is to mediocre to win with one account.

When I create a game it seems I end up going second 4 out of 5 times and the one extra troop doesn't make up for it. Also It seems the dice are brutal. @@TheKillPeteStrategy i think these fixed fridays are so popular because it’s a map everyone knows, as well as it’s a “brand new game”, in chess terms, after a few moves. The other maps are fun, but harder to follow for the general audience if you’re looking to expand

It might be likely it was collab/dual account but also I could see yellows move on your africa as "reasonable" in some sense. At the time he was the strongest player and then he "should" hit the weakest player (you), to not let you catch back up? Also long term he had the "worst position" with the australian position so he should do something quickly before everyone catch up? Then suddenly purple slammed into green changing the equation to green being the weakest and yellow panic and didn't know what to do. In my point a reasonable guess how yellow was thinking/playing. Surely play style was quite similar between orange and yellow and some strange/bad moves from yellow early on that makes one suspicious they got that rank fairly played.

If anyone else took Africa on turn 3 you would say something like "there's no way we let him hold this, right?" Yellow blocked you from an early powerful bonus. He didn't have a follow up, but it's not improper play in my opinion. You called his bluff which was a dangerous gamble. I see it as well played by everyone... unless there was collaboration.

The best solution I've come up with is to block any two accounts from playing each other over a certain period of time. Force the collaborators to make new accounts each time.
