The most underviewed, underrated channel on KZbin. I wish you both the most success possible! The intro with the commentary has a real discovery channel feel. Great work.

Wow! What a peaceful, beautiful spot. GB looks like a boating dream. Big enough for exploration and adventure, fresh water, and peaceful coves to anchor in. 😎😎

Hello, folks. Looks like a pretty area of the country. You used some nice background guitar. (Added to the peacefulness, of the scenery.) Keep up the great videos. My wife always gets excited when she sees a new video posted. Kind regards, Ted and Patti in NJ

It looks like the turtle was looking at his reflection on the prop. Thanks for another great video.

Jeff, I totally agree! And thanks for watching , we love to hear from our viewers. It's like a delayed conversation . We put it out there and then when we hear from viewers it's like our friends are responding. Pretty cool!

First time I have ever commented on a You Tube Channel-:) Yes - excellent content and videos! Two quick questions: 1.) Do you still love your Ranger 25 - is the quality top notch? ( we are in the process of seriously looking to purchase one ) 2.) What do you call / how can I get that spool system you have for your stern anchor. Thank-you! Peter

I think the build quality is good. Most of the components are good as well. All of our raptor decking feel off, and there was a few gelcoat issues, but all is good now. The structure portion of the boat is very good and would buy another tomorrow.

North Channel is our favorite ! Fox is our number 1 pick ! Did you visit Roy ?
@expeditionseanest3 ай бұрын
We have visited Fox. It was a bit busy for us at that time. But a beautiful anchorage. We have not yet been to Roy . Will put it on the list and maybe see you there!

Congrats on 50 Eps I just noticed that you added an OB motor mount for your dingy ob to back of the transom When did you do that? Can you tell me where you got it and did you use a backer plate when mounting? Thanks
@expeditionseanest3 ай бұрын
We have had that on since we purchased it . One of our earlier episodes shows me installing it. It was custom built , and there is a large 1/4 inch aluminum backer plate which I attached .

@@expeditionseanest Well that explains why I can't find it anywhere on the net.

Hi Jerry, we purchased it online but can't remember from where. Sorry.

The tell tale (water outlet) is not be dependent on a thermostat opening. It is purely to indicate water flow through the pump. I check ours every time on every motor. If no water, usually the telltale is plugged but not always. Zip tie or thin wire to clean it, but if that doesn’t work then the pump might not be working and bad bad. Same for waverunners, tell tale is on the side of the hull.
@stevejones98322 ай бұрын
Some mercury motors only pump water out of the tell tale when the thermostat opens. The 20 and 25 hp are that way.
@expeditionseanest2 ай бұрын
The information I gave on the video is correct. Most outboards, especially Yamaha‘s in the bigger horsepowers only have a small bit of water coming out until the thermostats open and then there is more the smaller outboards have a continuous flow because there are no thermostats. I own several mercury’s in the 60 hp range and they take a long time before water comes out of the tell tale.

in B.C. it is a frowned upon practice to wrap line and rub on the tree ,it damages the bark and after a few boats the tree dies.
@expeditionseanest4 ай бұрын
That is good for people know. I can understand that happening in busy anchorages. Although Its hard to believe a tree would die from just a few stern ties. We have trees here in Georgian bay that have been used for decades and are still alive. Although they have had some damage to the bark. We have cruised the B.C coast and have seen the huge a number of boats at many of the anchorages, and can understand why it's important to minimize damage to the trees.

Hi, what brand is the line roller you have. I cant find anything which fits in a rod holder. I have a Parker 760 Quest and have rod holders in the same position. Thanks for info.
@expeditionseanest4 ай бұрын
Sorry, no name on it. We purchased it online. Not amazon but can't remember.
@MarkENorman3 ай бұрын
Where did you find the reel for your stern tie line? Does the reel mount to a bracket that goes into a pole holder hole?
@expeditionseanest2 ай бұрын
We bought it online years ago and can't remember. Sorry

Julia was a competitive swimmer in college and she doesn't want to run the outboard while the boat is at anchor. So I get the easy job. Whew:)

It's kind of like Med mooring...only to a tree rather than a dock.
@gkendell13 ай бұрын
Tying off to trees is a big no no in places like the Thousand Islands. Park staff will fine. To say its ok if only a few do it is not a valid reason. If the authorities say do not? Then dont. Maybe Georgian Bay is different and ok with the authorities but many areas it isnt.
@expeditionseanest3 ай бұрын
This is good information. We do not cruise the Thousand Islands. Of course we understand that if the authorities say no , then follow the law. If we can avoid stern tie to a tree , we do . Some rocks work as well and we use those also, as well as man made tie downs cemented into rocks like the one we used in Episode 11

What is the brand of the line reel you used for the stem tie?
@expeditionseanest4 ай бұрын
James, there is no brad name on the product and we cant remember where we purchased it. We did get it online.
