This is a very good, well made video, paying attention to those awkward clips that sometimes fox you. I think I would pay for a new Bowden cable though.😃

Hello. Yes replacing the cable is the proper fix, but a bit more work and more expensive. Also, please bear in mind that the new cable has a tendency to stretch again, so you would be back to the same problem. Just my two cents. Thank you for watching! - Rjeff H2H

Very well-done video! Thank you for showing how it's really done and how long it really takes. Do you also have a video for how to fix it by actually replacing the cable? That might be an interesting option instead of taking it to a a mechanic.
@How2Helen11 ай бұрын
Hello. The main reason I made and alternative fix is I want to share a fix that a basic and average DIYer like me can do. The other end of the Bowden cable is connected to the locking mechanism which is complicated to tackle. Disassembly of the locking mechanism might discourage others to do the repair. So I personally believe that this alternative fix is a lot simpler. So no Bowden replacement in the future. Sorry. Thank you for watching! -Rjeff H2H

@@How2Helen That makes sense. You did a really good job! If you did want to do a video on how to replace the carrier, you might be surprised how many DIY'ers might be interested. :-)

@@themusiccoaches9520 Hello. Sorry spoiler, but someone bought our Z4 while we were in the middle of filming. Lol. We still have a few diys coming out soon, bit no carrier repairs. On another note, I would like to thank you for what you guys do. Without coaches like you guys, I would not have known how to play musical instruments. Keep up the good work! I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you again for your hard work! Teaching music is very hard! 🎹🎼🎸-Rjeff H2H

@@How2Helen Congrats on selling the Z4! It's such a fun car - I'm sure the buyers will love it. And thank you for your nice comments about The Music Coaches. We love teaching kids and adults, beginners and professionals, etc. I also own a recording studio, so I'm non-stop music all day long! Keep on playing those instruments. It keeps us young!!
