I struggle with this. So your passionate, you were interested, you had experience, you studied, you wanted to add value and contribute and it's frowned upon. None of the above sound negative but that's not being humble? I know everything in moderation but wtf. How do you do the above and still be in everyone's "good graces". Long story short I just recently quit a position for similar problems. I thought my motivation and passion would inspire benefit everyone but I got the know it all label. however when I decided to not speak the project was failing and it was my fault for not speaking. So what's the balance? How do you influence without "offending"

I believe if I may that if you come from a place of suggestion but not imposing your ideas consciously or subconsciously is the mental shift you should live by to avoid being perceived that way, I'll also add that to be able to do that Is to be a better listener ask question get into discovery mode don't make it all about you, ask open ended questions after everyone full express ask if you could suggest something and if you're given the chance state your thoughts. To be a know it off it to come off as somebody who thinks their way is the only way and things they're better than everybody else, even if you're not that way or trying to be.

I’ve been told this before bro and I’m grateful for you sharing your experience. I’m also trying to change this about me as much as i can. It’s hard because it’s also subconscious but we strive towards to be better. Thank you

And finally I realized that I am the problem and I need to change- so thank you for this story- it gives me hope that I can change

Thanks for sharing!! I am looking for ways to handle my dear friend, who is a know-it-all. I really care for her. It's really hard to communicate with such person. I really want her to be my friend. I want to break the tough barrier and communicate with her in ab emotional level.

Thank you for this video. I have had a hard time explaining to my 5 and half year old why being a know it all is not a valued personality trait, according to most people. We watched your video just now and I think it is the first time that this perspective has changed his viewpoint.

Honestly, this is soo helpful, breaks my heart because I'm like this, I just get excited, wanting to share my knowledge and help people in ways no one helped me! I think this student mindset in every room you go into is just so key, it forces your brain to be more in tune with the non-verbal communication you're letting out. There's no point in sharing information to help people if your non-verbal cues put people off even before you finish what you have to say lol.

What a good tip. ❤️ I know like the adage, how they don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Nuts

True all that. Pride of Position, it's very easy to see how you might get swept up in it all and end up starting a cult. It happens a lot.

I appreciate this video but why did you have to jump to feeling ashamed??! Or saying you were immature? I don't get it. You had good intent and were just trying to add to the conversation with a spirit of wanting to help!

Omg What a powerful insight. Yea you're exactly right. It's because I realized that I was being "perceived" as a know it all, and most likely in a repulsive way. Haha

I have slot of knowledge in many subjects because I choose to learn and study laying I am interested in and that could very from fixing cars to the Bible of scientific study's into magnetism sound and vibration and how it affects all things around us. In my working life I have repaired cars layed concrete floors I am a landscaper by trade and worked as a Whitehouse manager and fencer on farms so a wide range of knowledge and when I talk to people I am called a know it all this is bullshit I am a high-school dropout that has genuine knowing in many things and have never claimed to be a expert in anything. People are just assholes in my opinion for this reason I am a recluse and spend time with my wife rather than have friends.
