What worked for me was changing my needle size from 75 to 80. That stopped the shredding and breaking immediately.

Thank you Sherine, I have been experiencing shredding thread for a while. I thought maybe its my needle, after changing the needle and cleaning my bobbin case, it still happened. Now i know it could be that it dried out......i never knew this could be the reason. Thank you very much for valuable information. ❤

I knew thread could dry out but did not know there was a way to possibly remedy the situation! I have some thread i was about to toss because it kept breaking. I think part of the problem was the design was very dense. Too many layers upon layers of thread being stitched over eachother; plus I used too heavy a stabilizer then sprayed it with temporary adhesive. I then used water soluble stabilizer on top. All that just to embroider a sea turtle on a wash cloth! So partly my fault. The design is old. It was digitized by the creator about 20 years ago. I should’s just sprayed some tear away , stuck on the wash cloth and used the water soluble topping. I have done wash cloths and towels in the past. I just got the PE800. I sed my old Brother PE 150 and Amazing box card reader/writer box ( with serial port). I no longer have a compatible computer to use it with soooo.

The information found here is invaluable:) I never knew there was a thread conditioner. I do have something called Sewer’s Aid that you rub the needle with to prevent it brom getting “gummed “ up from sticky stabilizers which can caused stitch issues and breakage. Also I discovered titanium coated needles that are very sturdy a d resist pitting and breakage. They look slightly gold colored. Organ makes them.

Hi Angela, Thanks for the comment - it is appreciated! I love the Gold (titanium) needles - we only have Schmetz Gold needles available in my country - but they are amazing. They last so much longer than regular embroidery needles do - and are a dream when working with spray on adhesives. Please feel free to join my mailing list buy filling in a very short pop-up box on my website - I share lots of info from there too. www.sewandcraftstepbystep.com Have a great day! We use the Groz-Beckert GEBEDUR titanium coated needles in our embroidery, long arm, and industrial machines. You can get them anywhere Ali Express ships.

@SewandCraftStep-by-Step2 жыл бұрын
Great Pleasure Farhana- glad it was helpful! Silicone spray can be purchased from most sewing and haberdashery stores that sell embroidery machine supplies, as well as Industrial Embroidery machine suppliers. I hope this is helpful. Kind Regards, Sherine Haines

I am so sorry you found it boring. I see that you do home remedies, so perhaps my channel is not something that would interest you.😅 I only do sewing and craft, digitizing and décor, so if it is not for you, perhaps you should not watch my channel and then you won't get bored.😀 I do hope though that that you get lots of people who are interested in your topic watching your channel, and that the ones who are not interested will just scroll past without leaving you any negative comments. I also wish for you that you will have people that leave positive comments instead of negative. The world already has too many critics - we need more encouragers. Best wishes to you and your channel.
