I renovated my front lawn and some areas of my back yard. I sprayed tenacity after seeding. All the grass came out nice and full with no weeds. A little tiny area i seeded with no tenacity, there was grass but a bunch of weeds started coming out too. LOL. Use tenacity when overseeding or renovating cool season grass.

Big fan of your channel! I need your help with helping me identify what I think is a fungus in my freshly over seeded yard. I think I over watered my lawn. I have some yellowing of some leaf blades and discoloration or a different color of green than other grass in my yard.i have some sporadic mushrooms popping up too. So do u do the 6 month rate twice in the spring for prodiamine, then one full rate of gallery and one full rate of dithiopyr mixed together in the sprayer in the fall? Or do u do split 1/2 apps in the fall as well?

I split prodimine up in .38oz and .45 oz applied end of February then mid April. I apply dimension at .55oz 2 times in the fall

@ryanconnor7073 I do .25oz and .25 in the spring and do .38 1 time in the fall as the weed pressure isn’t quite as high as the spring. Still some winter weeds but no where as many.

I will be honest if it was all fescue and you have out 2 good mows on it I would say go for it! But being you seeded with KBG I wouldn’t apply anything KBG takes so long to establish and such shallow roots I just wouldn’t do it!

I found that Spectracide Weed-stop granules work well as a pre-emergent after you water it in, but can I add a fertilizer to that is the question. Within the next couple of weeks I plan on spreading Milorganite mixed with Scott's 3X and not touching my lawn until March when I'll lay down the pre-emergent, thats my plan but I don't know if that's the right thing to do because I'm still a novice with this. I just grew the yards in and I'm worried about the summer heat damaging them because I did a spring seeding and our June heatwave killed almost everything. I purchased some Ammonium sulfate but don't really know when to use it, when to put it down or whether or not I can mix it with other fertilizer.

I wouldn’t mix fertilizer with the pre emergent you can do pre emergent then apply fertilizer! Being your new to this I would stay away from the ammonium sulfate. One wrong move and you have burned your lawn up!!! I’m not familiar with Scott’s 3x I’m assuming that’s a fertilizer? If so no need to apply that and the Milo

@JoeBilello1969 in March you can do pre emergent then turn right back around and do fertilizer and water them both in same day just don’t mix them at the same time in your spreader. If you applied fertilizer recently you should be good to go until next year I imagine

I really had a ph problem in my dirt and didn't realize that I needed to spread lime until I nearly killed myself doing these yards about 7 times over the last 2-years to no avail. The grass seed kept hardly germinating, then turning yellow and dieing, I wont even talk about the weeds...MY GOD THE WEEDS!!! The idea of spreading lime never even occurred to me, I should've known because the yard was neglected for years, man I wasted a lot of time work and money.

what kills Killinga? that’s what i’m dealing with right now. I overseed about a month ago and bam , I have tons of Killinga in my yard . very frustrating

Sedgehammer, celero, dismiss. I wouldn’t worry about that sir! It want be there much longer and I wouldn’t want to spray a herbicide like that on month old grass. Let it be and tackle it earlier next year before overseed.
