How to Store a Cowboy Hat

what about stacking my new felt hat on my old felt hat, just like you did with the straw, would that be fine for it?

Yes, that would be just fine. It may have the potential to leave a mark on the crown of that old hat so if you are going to do that just be aware that it might ruin that first hat.

I recently got a new Resistol Palm Leaf hat and so far in the three days I have used and stored it I have hung it on a upper wall hat rack I have. Is this an alright way to store the hat and is there any possibility it could damage the hat or cause problems over time?

Usually if you can find a way to store it in a place that the brim is not being touched by either of the wall or something else, that tends to be the best. So if that is the way it is sitting, you should be good to go!
