I live in Malaysia which is warm & humid the year round. I store my Amaryllis bulbs in a dark cardboard box lined with coconut fibre. I first wrap my bulbs in newspapers & keep them well separated as they sit in the fibre & store the box in my cool store-room for 8 weeks. After that, I pot them up.

Amaryllis your can leave planted and water normally actually. It grows new builds around the old one and has great leaves while it doesn't flower. I found them very decorative like so, and the next generation will grow more followers too

I hadn't stored by digging out I left the bulb in the pot. And cut the plant after blooming. But now it is June month still my plant gave four buds. Say something about it sir. Here in odisha the temperature is above 43 degree.

I will try following this method (fungicide) with my Lily bulbs for the upcoming March / April 2020. Last year, I lost all my bulbs to rot as I had kept them wrapped in a newspaper which was then placed inside a plastic bag. There was no fungicide used.

I went a step ahead and put them in a paper bag and stored in air tight boxes. Lost all my tulip, freesia, asiatic lily bulbs. Hopefully this technique shoukd work like it does with Dr Suraj's every time! 😊. But I am still not going to put them in a plastic bag. It would be wrapped in paper.

Very true sir....I left them in soil. N these become so finicky. Even slightest of under or overwatering and they rot n disappear. Soil throughout the year kills them for sure.
