I found the 2 drawer version at the Australian Red Cross op shop the other day. My watercolour pencils and crayons have never looked so good.

Oh wow! That’s a good find. I found a brand new Meeden drafting table on eBay for £40 instead of £180, so I was pretty happy too!

The op shop had two of the two drawer models, and I picked up the second one today. 15 AUD each. The volunteer told me that they were donated directly from Amazon.

This is exactly what I need for my ink pens and pencils. I always like to line wood drawers with nice paper as it protects them. Excellent use for the foam packaging, like you I hate to throw anything away that can be used.

These are very nice. I’ve just found I need things out ready or adhd brain forgets them. I’ve got pencils upright in pots and pens lying flat in clear boxes.

You look so nice and cozy! I can sympathize - we've gone from 80's and tshirts two days ago to mittens and a freeze warning tonight!! I've had my space heater next to me all day while painting BUT I digress - sorry! 😁 That IS a beautiful cabinet and I am impressed that you are going to tackle some organization! I had considered something similar when I was setting up my painting supplies when I moved, but decided against it...I put all my tubes of paint in lipstick holders and my different pens and markers in a set of drawers that are acrylic (I like being able to see what is in each drawer). BUT I am SURE that I don't have as many pens and markers, etc...as you do! I love that you "Embrace the Chaos," but it doesn't hurt to strategically organize it a bit! Have fun!!

I think we must hve been sisters in a former life! My art room is always in a mess, I take time to tidy it, then withing minutes it's back to messy again! I hate to throw anything away, my husband has given up telling me to get rid of, what he call rubbish, I use it, and I had just taken my exact same comfy off, Also my pen box is the same choc box! I have these drawers and use them for my coloured pencils and pens. They are great. The size is ok for 5ml watercolour tubes but a bit small for the larger tubes.

they are lovely. it all depends on the lid size I reckon. Lucas have really large lids, so they didn’t fit…

Ah Liz here we went from 36 Celsius to 7 overnight so I'm in almost exactly the same jumper dress! I found an vintage dentist cabinet on auction with all these wonderful likkle drawers and I just knew it had my name on it for all my art supplies. This one I am going to chalk paint and doll up first. You could always put a transfer on yours. It looks stunning but still allows the wood to shine thru. Protect it with your Annie Sloan wax afterwards. Look for Iron Orchid Designs (Not available in South Africa 😢) or Redesign with Prima. They both do looovrly transfers. 😂

The finish on the box will inevitably get all dinged and nicked up as time passes. That's you could paint.

The size of the cap is the determining factor - so even my 21ml tubes from Jacksons fit, only Lukas tubes don't

These are just rebranded generic boxes from China... wow.. 60 pound.. I think I paid around $20 USD for the off brand one. The only problem is the varnish stinks... but if you air it out for a few weeks, the smell goes away.

If you can get the same for $20, that’s great. I haven’t seen any for that price. This appears to be well made, nice joinery etc and did not smell!
