Thanks for this excellent idea! Mine is very similar to yours with the exception of just using a few 2X4's below. Still allows me to store the pedal drive and all my fishing gear. The PVC works really well for supporting the kayak and keeps it stable on the cart. This will make loading and unloading my Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL in the truck. Greatest part, only took about 2.5 hours to build.

Hey Ryan I have that same exact bed extender and have had it now for about 4 years and never had a problem with it to haul my Hobie Outback in my short bed Nissan Frontier. Great tips bro. I like those straps and will need to get those.

Cool! I use to have this bed extender years ago, then went to the Boonedox, then went to 5 different trailers and then to the Will-I-Loader set up. Now going back to the trailer next month and that’s it!! Lol. With taking veterans out in the future and he little guy in a few years, need a trailer again. This will be it so the Mrs don’t hurt me!!! Haha. Thanks for the support. Yes the straps work good and they are stainless. Link is in description

how would you rinse the yak after a saltwater trip?
@rjmfishtales6 ай бұрын
Just slide it off truck and use the Boonedox landing gear to move around. Or right in back of truck. Or when I have on the trailer. Wherever, all over depending on how I haul that day.

Great video. Lots of great tips. What did you do with your Bixpy? I take off the motor but I leave the Hobie cover and the blue bixpy base. Looks like you do something else since the blue base is gone. Thanks.
@rjmfishtales2 жыл бұрын
I take the Bixpy blue base and motor off together. You can see the motor laying on the bottom of the cart. I use the thumb screws that came with Bixpy to remove the whole base and motor as a unit. I have the One Objective motor adapter on the back of the Hobie. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

There’s 2 sizes to choose from, which one would be better for a Toyota Tundra?
@rjmfishtales Жыл бұрын
If you are talking about the bed extender just the regular size one. I would not get the longer one. It will bounce around too much.

what was the height of the cart without the casters and no pvc ????
@rjmfishtales Жыл бұрын
I don’t have it anymore. I am pretty sure I made frame 30 inches. Casters were 5 inches and with PVC overall was 39 inches or so.

It’s ok here as long as you it a high vis flag at the end of it. In America we can do anything. That is why there is problems and accidents. Haha
