Why do you need to create a 2nd account for this method?* _A. If you use your primary account to connect to remote play, this means you will have to play via the remote play window using a controller plugged into your PC. If you try to connect a controller to your primary account via the physical console, then the remote play session will end. You could just play from your PC using the 1 controller and 1 account, but then there is more stress on your internet, making the stream to Discord laggy, as well as adding input lag to your own experience. However, with the 2nd account, you can connect to the PS5 using that account, and then connect your controller to the physical PS5 system and play straight from the console on your primary account and on your primary display instead of your PC/laptop/mobile display; the remote play session isn't ended. This way you get 0 input lag, can play just like normal, and there should be less stress on your internet, thus making the stream to Discord smooth, without hindering your own enjoyment. It's the best method there is, at least until Sony & Discord's partnership is finalised. I hope this explains to you why the 2nd account is necessary and I hope the video can help you out._ *Q. Can you do this on mobile?* _A. Yes, well, sort of. It is the exact same method, but unfortunately, lots of phones might detect the remote play app as a "secure" application, meaning it cannot be captured by screen recorders, as a screenshot, or from Discord's screen share feature when you are connected to the PS5. I advise you to test to see if you can do this (same method in the video), and if only a black screen is streamed to the Discord call, then unfortunately your phone is seeing remote play as secure. If you really want to bypass this, search for tutorials on how to capture secure applications on your specific phone model. The wide variety of phones not supported is the reason why I did not show a phone screen in the tutorial at the same time as the PC screen; the method is the same anyway. There is a very important point. if you streaming and it is low fps on the viewers screen. You need to open the Remote app at administrator mode. This should fix the low fps problem on the viewer side. This problem took me a while for understanding the problem and the answer.

That's literally the reason why you would want a second account so that you don't need to deal with this. Just follow the video through if you want to use the controller on the console

The game won't be deleted but it will become locked and you will not be able to play it unless you refresh the PS Now subscription.

Yeah I don't believe you can start livestreams from the console whilst connected to remote play sadly. If you want to wait a little longer, I intend to release a PS5 version in early 2022.

it's because you have to have the window focused. just click on the on the game and always have remote play focused. as soon as you press somewhere else on your pc it just goes black. Hope it helps :)

Actually I just tried running remote play in administrator mode and that seems to be working. Make sure you have the game open when you want to connect it to remote play.

I'm having the same problem, it prompts whoever is trying to watch the stream on Discord to sign into PSN first. That's not mentioned anywhere in this video.

Solved my issue, I had to remove the connection between the Discord and PSN. Once I did that, it streams just fine now and the people in my chat can watch it with no problems.

Hi!! Macbook user here with a 2020 model, I have the same problem. Unfortunately it is because the macbooks don’t have the correct graphic settings nor video capture tech built to be able to stream through discord. You have to buy separate pieces

In that case, I would suggest downloading OBS or Streamlabs OBS, then adding the remote play window as a window to capture to one of those. Then enable virtual camera on OBS, then set your camera on discord to be the OBS virtual camera. I don't have a Mac to try this on, but I would imagine this workaroud should work. Let me know how you get on! :D

Im confused. If i use remoteplay its my primairy account screen. But if i close that it all closes. But if you make a 2nd account snd remote play that screen you dont see your primairy account? Your completely fine playing your ps5 when displayed on a tv, you mainly just want to make sure you have a secondary account signed in through remote play on your PC. Then once on remote play, select the ps5 that the account is linked to. After that you should see your ps5's screen on the PC, while still being able to view it on your TV. Hope this helps
