My actual tutorial series where I go in-depth about a lot of nuanced things is coming soon, this is essentially filler :)

So just to make sure I'm not a dumbass, I didn't miss the alt tapping video you mentioned at the end of this one, right? I remember waiting on that one for a while now, but it's entirely possible I'm just blind and missed it.

I was looking for this video for a while, but I forgot about your videos getting deleted (which explains a lot). Thanks for putting this up again, at least for now.

Dude I've been really fired up about improving at this game the past 6 months. This game is great because the skill ceiling is seemingly infinite. I'm excited to see what you have to say because you are one of the best players around right now. Especially when it comes to tapping. Things like ttfaf intro, omgwtfbbq are easy for me but it's the more advanced techniques I really need help with. Alt tapping ascending patterns, very fast trills, and elbow strumming are some things that come to mind. You pretty much made rake tapping a thing AFAIK so I'm really looking forward to your videos

Leaving behind Reset strumming is better for your progression then relying on it. Learning to do everything from down and up strums no matter how a phrase ends is much better mental exercising

by far the hardest thing for me is the fact im like 100x better on keyboard than on guitar, but its way harder to strum on keyboard for longer amounts of time :(
The guitar I use (wired 360 Xplorer) does something really weird with one-finger raking. It seems like it does 3 or more strums per strike, but only after a few rakes. When I test the raking on the menu, it works exactly as expected, but when I try to one-finger rake a fast section, I simply strum it half as fast as I normally would, which should work, but it always ends up strumming way too fast. Do you think it's just the guitar, or could there be something wrong with my technique?

Good vid. Helpful cuz I’m fairly new, maybe a bit late to the whole franchise, but players like you and randy made it look really fun and a new sort of challenge. Tricky bits of tapping are what I struggle with, so I can’t wait to see something about that or solos etc hopefully. Wanna fc soulless 4 easy and getting there but the fast tapping parts are the main parts that get me. Got a 95% (not quite as good as most people) but if I could nail some parts down that include this I’ll be on my way to the fc. As I said, I’m fairly new, so probably not that hard to most but oh well😂

Really looking forward to the whole guide, I feel like that's something that's missing from guitar hero today. Back in the day there were guides all over the place, nowadays the only ones you can find are guides on how to rake strum. The amount of skill and number of methods used today compared to when people were debating whether Constant Motion was possible to FC, is a completely different world and we need stuff like this. Thanks.
i thought i’ve told you that i still had the video too lmfao

Hey. I just downloaded Clone Hero recently and I've never touched a Guitar Hero game in my life or watched one. When it comes to strumming I can't tell when you're meant to strum up, down or not strum at all. Can someone help this noob out?
@Frif5 жыл бұрын
Try and pay attention to the beat lines when working with strumming, you can use these as mental anchor points to tell your mind when to up and down strum, if they're 16ths, every strum on a beatline will be a downstrum. if they're 24ths, every other and so on.
