I have a Vee Snowshoe 26x 4.5 with Silica as a front tire. The tires have around 1000 km on them. Could I stud this tire as you demonstrated?

Have you riden the studs on wet mud? I have a set of Tannus tyres which I am happy with on roads but don't have enough grip for muddy off road conditions. I was considering putting some studs in them for the winter.

if ur making ur own i find make sure u make a good barrier. get some thick glue and past it into the wheel like bondo. just seal it all up and keeps the screws in far better than a purchased setup.

Do you leave the studs on year-round? I’m asking mostly for my rear tire, as it is much more difficult to remove because of the hub motor. I’m thinking of maybe placing some studs along the exterior as you show, I’m just leaving them on throughout the year.
@Davmm962 жыл бұрын
It will just dull out your studs and you'll wind up having to replace them before the next winter, hence not saving any time at the end. Specially with the rear since it's the driving wheel and all the quick summer accelerations will shave off studs quickly.

Is this any better of worse, vs tires chich have predrilled stud holes, and you just insert the studs.

Second that. Where can I buy these studs? Thanks

What do you think of some shinko 244s or 241s with the studds in them for snow riding ?
@djpinkpanties152 жыл бұрын
You can put the shinkos on the super73 so was wondering if they would be good to get studded since they are motorcycle tires
@anandarochisha3 жыл бұрын
You mentioned a link to the studs..as the two before me mentioned. PLEASE ??

Is it the 4mm x 9mm? Or can we go bigger for a super73?
@urbancargobikes49302 жыл бұрын
Great question Yes, these are the 4x9's. I would not be go any longer than that or you'll start to get punctures. Oh! And really wrap your tube up in old tubes and/or Mr. Tuffy liners 👊🏼

very nice explaining
@malingehring1658 ай бұрын
Ok, let me get this. You are screwing 100 pointy metal screws into the tire. Then you will ride the tire over very harsh terrain...? Duh, are you looking to try to patch the tube 100 times when you get flats?
