@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
Hi, Thank you for reaching out. Universities of California are among the better rated colleges with a cost of attendance per year in the USD 40k-50k per year range. That is about 20-40% cheaper than Ivy league colleges. You can choose your majors in economics or business. For the most part, the admissions are common irrespective of the majors you choose, and so is the cost of attendance (Fee + living expense).

Hi, These aren't the worst scores :). You can consider applying to some of these universities where you would be competitive: Ithaca, Arizona State, University of Utah, Alabama State, California State. Applications are still a few months away. Consider taking the SAT again if you think you can increase your score by 50-100 points. If you're unsure, you can always get in touch with us. All the Best!

Hi Is it possible for me to give Sat and apply for college in US if it's my 3rd drop year after 12th because of some health issues?
@satprepgurgaon5 ай бұрын
Certainly. There is no age criteria for taking SAT. Also, most universities don't have an age criteria either. Being realistic, it would be tough to get into top colleges in US with three drop years unless you have been doing something extraordinary over these 3 years. You can still apply and get through to some mid tier colleges in the US and into some colleges in Europe. You can connect to us on our email (get the link in the description of this video) for a free career counselling session. All the best!

I am currently studying in 12th and i want to pursue psychology for college so what colleges and place would be good? Is it difficult for an average student?
@satprepgurgaon3 ай бұрын
Psychology is a good major choice. It sits on the cusp of Science and Social Science. US Federal authorities have recently classified some Psychology Majors including Adolescent and Developmental Psychology as a STEM Major. That allows you to get a longer Visa Extension (OPT) after pursuing a degree in the US. Another advantage of applying for a Psychology Major is that it's slighlty uncommon for international students. So, you have better chances of getting an admit/scholarship. Apart from the usual good universities, you can also consider liberal arts colleges. Getting admits from US universities or from other countries is definitely easier than getting into good colleges in India. You can always reach out to us on our website to schedule a Free Profile Evaluation. All the Best!

@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
Certain Universities in the US give out scholarships based on your high standardized test score that are backed by your school grades. Once you have the SAT score in hand, you can select the colleges that have in the past given out such scholarships and apply there. Some universities are more upfront about it and you can find this information on their website, for others you have to rely on information from past years. We have compiled a list of such universities that you can download by clicking on the link in the description of this video. Also, feel free to connect with us on our website to schedule a free career counselling session with our expert. All the Best!

Yess my boards scores are good in 10th i had 91 and I'm expecting good score in 12th too. Problem is you know Indian parents won't trust until i give them assurance that is why i need some sort of assurance in advance that if I'm preparing for sat then i'll have a good uni with scholarship, bio doesn't have link for the list of universities
@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
@@uniquedwhips That's very understandable. 2 options 1. find the universities that give out such scholarships and mention it on their website and show that. 2. If you go to any admissions fair (usually happens in the metro cities), talk to the admissions committee representative from some mid-tier univs and tell them you have a very high SAT score (say 1450+). Very likely they will ask you to directly speak to someone senior in admissions and apply and get a scholarship. The reason these scholarships are given is that if you are applying to a school where you are well above the regular student in terms of score and grades, you become a very desirable student for them. Most schools have scholarships to offer and SAT score is one of the most important objective criteria for award of these scholarships. There could be others, for example you are a national level athlete etc. Also try this: Do a google search for any university alongwith the phrase "cost of attendance"- you will see two costs. Cost before financial aid/cost after financial aid. The difference is what they are offering as scholarships on average. PS: the link is in the second line of description and says "Subscribe"

I want to pursue nursing in USA. I recently gave my +2 board exam and got my result. I had physics chemistry and biology but I didn't take maths in additional. Should I give SAT exam?? Would it help me get scholarship in nursing course??
@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
Most merit based scholarship decisions are made based on your GPA (school and board marks) and SAT scores. SAT Math mostly covers topics from 9th and 10th, so not having Math in +2 is not a deterrent in taking the exam. You can look up universities offering a BS program in Nursing on US News Website. Next, check what is the fee structure and whether they give out any scholarships. Many universities give 50% tuition fee waiver and some universities also give 100% scholarship. You can always reach out to us for more details. All the Best!

Hey can you reply me i badly want to pursue MBA but due to fund issues I'm not able to take admission, I'm okay with any country Australia, uk, us canada can u assist me for good scholarships
@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
Hi, MBA courses usually don't offer scholarships very easily. You may be able to secure financial aid of some form (loans etc.). Having said that, there is a path to MBA scholarships which requires having an extraordinary GMAT score and applying to a college where your score puts you near the top of the incoming class. For example, if the GMAT (old) scores for a college are between 600 to 750 and you score a 760, you may get a scholarship. Your overall profile would also matter apart from the GMAT score. Also note that, most colleges abroad require you to have worked for at least 2-3 years before MBA. If you want further guidance you can call us on our number (Visit our website or search for "SAT Prep Gurgaon" on Google).

You can consider taking the GRE as some schools accept GRE scores also. If you want to get admitted to a good college, you would need to show you're a good candidate. Exam scores, moreso for people from overrepresented countries such as India, are an easy and reliable way to do that.

@@satprepgurgaon can u answer one more of my question that is ( with a SAT score of 1330 and GPA of 3.0) can I get into UT Arlington ( I don't have any extra curricular activities and I am in a non attending school in my 11th and 12th) I am currently in 12th So will i be rejected if I don't have any extra curricular activities (i have never played any sports and have never been in any kind of competition before)
@satprepgurgaon2 ай бұрын
@@aaravrajrana8075 1330 is a very good SAT score for UTA (Typical scores are in 1000-1200 range). GPA of 3 is a little low. What marks are you using to calculate GPA? Highest weightage is given to 12th marks. You can try to improve the GPA to 3.2+ and you'd be very competitive including for scholarships. Extracurrics aren't a deal breaker in this specific situation. Such high scorers don't apply to UTA so they may be willing to overlook that. Finally, once you have made up your mind on which colleges you're applying to, give them your best shot including writing good essays and getting good Letters of recommendations (if asked for). You would be good.

(Keeping in mind i have no extra curriculars ) If there are better options could u list em for me please
@satprepgurgaon2 ай бұрын
@@aaravrajrana8075 If you're looking for cheap and quality education in the US, it's a good choice. UTA is a large public university with low fees and high chance of scholarship purely based on SAT score and GPA. With your profile you can target some private colleges just outside the top 100, but unlikely that you would get any financial aid. It really cuts both ways. If you apply to more competitive colleges then other parts of your application (extracurrics and essays) start to matter more as they will have more applicants with your score and GPA.

And i really want to know about the differences between SAT and IELTS
@satprepgurgaon4 ай бұрын
IELTS is an exam to establish your English Language credentials and is used by some universities for granting admissions. The same exam is also used to grant visas by some countries. It's a relatively easy exam and you just need to get a certain level on the exam to demonstrate your command on English. In almost no cases will this exam be used to get an admit or scholarship from a "good" college. SAT is a competitive exam and can be though of as the primary college entrance exam for studying in the US (and some other countries). In contrast to India where there are multiple exams (JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, BBA etc.), in the US, SAT is the exam students take for college admissions. A great score in SAT opens opportunties for admissions and scholarships. You can connect with us to understand this in more detail.

@satprepgurgaon3 ай бұрын
Hi, both GPA and SAT scores are considered together. GPA conversion is very lenient. Even 70% is 3+ GPA. and 80% is 3.7 GPA. Every school may have slightly different way to calculate this. So you can check with the school or with WES (paid service to convert International marks to GPA). However, if you have a really bad GPA, I suggest you to try colleges outside of the US. For example in Europe.
