You know, it is so funny, I. Watch people with ribbon. I've been doing ribbons since I was 10 or 11. I'm now 70. My grandmother taught me so much anyway. I have heard anything from fish tailing Chevron Dov. Etailing to now, your kite cutting. It's crazy. It's just called, you know, trimmed the way you want it. I like a slant. I sometimes will dovetail or Chevron. Or fish tail. It just depends on my mood. I like ribbons at different links. I like them long as far as strands go I love mixing ribbons together. Big little small. It doesn't matter velvets, plans. I thank you understand what I'm trying to say anyway. You're doing a great job on the mental piece. It's lovely and stunning. I'm kind of new to your channel but I watch to do ribbon for the trees and I was enjoying that thoroughly. So thank you very much, James from Dallas. Texas saying. Hello❤

When we built our house, I had the builder include screws strategically placed in the stone. One up high to hang a wreath and 3 along the mantle to securely "hook" my garlands. The screws just go away when not in use. We also included a plug in.

How beautiful, so many great tips! I had a bad experience with command strips a few years ago…my entire garland came crashing down halfway through the season! My mantel is white, so I screwed 3 white cup hooks that just stay up year around (barely noticeable).

I have a question. My mantle runs the entire length of my wall. There are cabinets on both sides of the face of my fireplace. Would you run the garland the total length of the mantle or just the portion that is above the brick face?
