Though I am drawn to your style and energy I initially thought we had diametrically opposed fashion sensibilities. However, I find I am slow but surely loving the silhouettes and some of the beautiful pieces you select and showcase; which prompts me to size and fit similar cuts, textures and shapes. Because I am very lanky and my legs are extra longs, I felt limited and uncomfortable with the high end, avant garde'ish' aesthetic. But I can say you are expanding my perception of what is possible for my body type!

Just copped my first pair of Bottega boots about a month ago and to be fairly honest, it's a bit more pricey than the usual boot but I think it's worth the buy, if it fits your budget. I get multiple compliments every time I style with these boots on. Sn: If you plan on buying some I would suggest you start off with a solid dark color like black or brown. It's way more versatile and gives you more options for outfits.

Solid advice mate, they’re such a versatile pair and can pretty much be styled throughout all seasons. Would agree that for a first pair, sticking with black or brown is good then you can venture out into other colours. Although, I’m not a huge fan of the colour options. It’s too playful for me.

Your best bet would be a Uniqlo cost tbh, possible from the Uniqlo U collection since Lemaire is behind that and tends to create oversized pieces. The Hed Meyner is one of a kind though. Deffs a favourite in my wardrobe.

For cargos alternatives, you should try some department stores or even thrifting. You should be able to find Great pairs. I have some from Simons, Nordstrom that are still my go too now. If you’re looking for something with drawstrings, since it’s more avant- garde you may want to wait for winter sales from online retailers and try to cop a designer pair on the low low.
