yeah punks a odd one right i mean for the most part its like heavily practical or literal but then the girls did alot of fashionable things with the whole punk image but as is the way with alot of fashion i think now tho linking back to what someone was saying about androgyny with the forward we see more of a cross over whats pretty tough going and i feel like thats the embodiment of punk in ways since its basicly one and the same for like saying faggot

i think people tend to consider trends from mid years, like from around 1965 to 1975 is heavily what would shape the 70's to be, whereas after 1975 would be where the sort of disco style is introduced as what we think about when we think 80's, even though it is still in the 70's technically

I looked up 1970’s fashion and am so glad I found this. I’m american, but I know that a lot of american disco fashion was influenced by the 60’s peacock revolution, which in turn came from the carnaby street styles in England, so this kind of stuff is full circle. It’s fun seeing the more historical aspects of 70’s fashion, as well as modern wearers of the styles. (This video introduced me to Mendoza Menswear!)
