Get a white graphic tee with a bit of green on there too or you could just go for a full on green tee(make sure the greens on the shirt and on the shoes are somewhat similar) and throw that on with some black jeans and that’s a nice fit

Idk about cropped khakis because kind’ve of a personal style rather than wide audience style like he was going for, but most of his outfits looked bland. What I would wear with the shoes is wearing pants you want but with a tapered slim or skinny cut or some trainer pants like tech fleece because Nike air max 97 shoe was to be a runner so so tapering pants would really flow well with the shoe IMO. But in general people should just go for a pants that doesn’t swallow the shoe ( like your cropped khaki idea).
