U perm is also my favourite PLL. I use the R U S algs for U perm when I feel like taking a risk and want to go fast because those are the only PLL algs I can execute in under a second at my current max speed, but I'm more consistent with the M U algs so I usually use those. :) I just love that almost every algorithm for U perm is fun for me to do, unlike with the other PLLs where there are only a few algorithms from each that I actually like lol.

U perms are also my favorite plls! Because I use a mix of a beginner method and f2l and 4 pll algs (h perm z perm, ua and ub perms because in the beginner method I used you need to solve the yellow cross, then the corners, and then the edges) , it’s really common for me to get a u perm and I can do it really fast

I found a U perm R U R’ U’ L’ U’ L U2 R U’ R’ U’ L’ U L TO MEMORISE: take out the two front pairs with sexy moves right and left handed. Do a U2 and re solve the pairs. Simple! But hold the solved side at the front

That’s the same as the Cubicle Beginner U Perm but instead of 5 right sexy moves and 5 left sexy moves moves you just do reverse. I found it too, and many more probably have too.

And yeah i switched from the MU algs for these reasons; first you have to put your hands in a slightly different position to do M slices, so Id say The RU algs flow better after OLL. And secondly I mess up the RU algs wayyy less. And yeah looking at the move count the MU algs are more optimal, but as you can see the RU algs are still quite fast 🤷‍♂️ But thats my opinion of course! You should do what feels best for you :)

I also think u perms are the best plls, but if you need to learn u perms, you can choose between the MU u perm or the RU u perm, both of them are good, but I prefer the MU one and use the RU one for one handed. Their are also algs like the s move u perms which Are also good.

Ben Silashi Id say it is. algorithms for COLL are just replacements for oriented edges olls but when you do COLL algorithms there is a higher chance of a pll skip. Without Coll the chances of a pll skip is 1/72 I think but when you do Coll the chances of a pll skip is 1/12

I don’t understand what people dislike about the V perm. It’s not the best, but if I were to rate it on a tier list, it would be a B tier. There’s far worse algorithms like E and Nb, frankly I dislike A as well. I’d much rather get a V perm than either of the A perms. Definitely though, I think the most underrated pll is Na. I truly don’t get what people hate about Na, it’s like a Y perm with a few moves moves changed. Maybe I’m just using different algorithms. For V, my alg is as follows: First, start by regripping one turn clockwise with your right hand, then do R' U R' U' R D' R' D, then as your ring ringer is executing that last D move, regrip two turns clockwise, then finish with R' U D' R2 U' R2' D R2. For Na, the algorithm is: F' R U R' U' R' F R2, then as you reach the end of that clockwise R2, apply a push with your right ring finger to execute an F move, then do U' R' U' R U, then you use that same right ring finger but instead of pushing, do a regular flick to execute an F' move, then simply finish the algorithm with R’ Maybe these are the same algs everyone uses but if that’s the case, I can’t see what people hate so much about them. They’re ergonomic and their recognition isn’t bad either, especially V.

I have zero clue why someone would opt for this alternate U perm algorithm. If someone who’s proficient with both of these algorithms reads this, can you please explain to me why you prefer the alternate over the standard M slice algs? My only real explanation for someone preferring the alternate would be if they had little to no ambidexterity. M slice algs in general require more ambidexterity than any other type of algorithm, maybe that the reason? I can’t think of any other reason why someone would prefer this alternate.

Looking at the Ub(Front). Does anyone know why he chooses to use his Right middle finger for the first U move instead of pushing with his left index? Seems like it would be far more natural and he doesn't need his left index for 4 more moves? I'm currently relearning my U perms to do them like this video, can't see the reasoning for myself on that one.
