Do you have to file for the partition with every flight mission or is there a predetermined time span that they give upon approval?

Do you need to be a certified pesticide/chemical applicator in addition to a part 137?

In Texas, the answer is yes, you need 3 primary TDA Certs. So I guess it may vary from state to state.

Big fan of the channel. my question is how accurate are the spraying drones as far as coverage? One of the top guys at the local CO-OP said they tried these drones about 4-5 years ago and he said that they miss alot so they never invested anymore into it but I feel as this is the future of agriculture and its only going to get better.

The drones 4-5 years ago are not the same drones that are being introduced today. With todays drones like the Agras T-30 you get Max coverage all while reducing chemical usage and fuel cost. If Producers and commercial applicators don't take a serious look at this they are just ignorant IMO... I know a lot of these guys are set in their ways but agriculture is changing and digitizing. Automation is taking over. The advantages using a drone are immense. When an operator is able to use two and three drones at a time to complete one quarter of ground (with the swarm exemption) thats when we will see helis and planes begin to phase out. They won't be able to compete.

If i want to spray in multiple location will i need a petition for each location?

so wait part 137 is not a test? you just have to send out documents pertaining in how youe going to ve using the drone thats how you get 137???

Correct. You’re getting an exemption from FAA part 137, which requires things like seatbelts and other things that don’t apply to drones. Lots of paperwork involved. The FAA will want to see you fly the drone and prove that you’re a responsible pilot, but no written test. You will also need your pesticide license, which does require a test through your state.
