those 1-2 beat fake outs. Super dope you made a tutorial for it. Its hard to hear what is actually going on without a breakdown. Same with yugh basses
@MercilessRageMusic Жыл бұрын
I always sit there meticulously EQing my basses to fit with sustains 😅 and then you drop this gem. Sidechain the sustain to the basses or vice versa to bring the sounds you want up front. Plus I have Soothe2 and have never experimented with the SC option. This is a game changer for me, thank you so much!

Just a kick on 1 and snare on 3. 2 rides, 1 on quarter notes, 1 every half note. Crash once every 4 bars. Hope that helps!

Can you tell me the bars each section has sorry I’m new to this and really want to make a drop like this at the end of my song it’s 16 bars total starting from the 1. fake out 2.one shot 3.Big sustain 4.Chugs 5.Drop? This song sounds incredible btw
@wheystedmusic8 ай бұрын
its a 16 bar drop that is split into 4 bar sections. the sustain comes in on the 3 (when the snare/clap hits). chugs are layered under the sustain or above depending how you mix it. Fakeout is 2 bars long. but I count it as part of my drop and as my first 4 bar section. so the machine gun response is the 2nd 4 bar section. all together that makes the first 8 bar phrasing. just copy and paste for the second half and make slight changes (don't have fakeouts on the second part). kinda hard to explain over text. but maybe this helps.

how wide are you making the chugs? I see the sustain is in the middle but how about the chugs?
@goneastraymusic Жыл бұрын
maybe add like a bass effect on them so they take care of the wide signal?
@wheystedmusic Жыл бұрын
They are sitting wider practically to the poking where they are phasing but just a little bit under that. You can use tons of stereo plugins. Chorus, hyper, wider (vst), tonal delay, or very short reverb. Hope this helps!
