I'd like to add one note about solo dungeons for new players that veteran players seem to forget because they are in fact veterans. IF YOU ARE BRAND NEW TO ALBION, do go and do a fair amount of solo dungeons once you finish the tutorial area. I believe solo dungeons main purpose now in Albion is to teach players the basic mechanics of PvE in Albion in a safe environment that allows you to fail and try again without being punished. I know that when I first started Albion, it took me some time to learn how to move my character around to easily avoid AoE attacks, how to mechanics etc. Solo dungeons really help new players learn these mechanics so they are better prepared for the open world PvE which will inevitably involve PvP. Just don't get stuck doing them as your main content, because as Big Lips said, they are simply the worst form of silver and fame generation in the game. Use them as a learning tool to get the basics of PvE down in Albion and then move on from them once you feel comfortable PvEing in Albion.

Couldn't agree more. I started today, I keep changing weapons to see what I like and those solo dungeons are awesome. I keep messing up my combos because I keep switching stuff, I get to test combos, and just get a great feel for combat. It's like a training ground that gives me EXP and money.

Random Tips for the Black Zone: 1. Learn when it is most dangerous: This means read the timers for the black zone, each zone has a timer of oppertunity at the top of it that tells you when player owned assets in the zone can be vulnerable, territories and hideouts. When this window is up DO NOT get lax in those zones, ESPECIALLY the start. That's when you may see huge zergs running around or players that are related to those assets will be extra trigger happy. That said if you see a large zerg and you are not running around in full 8.3 chances are they won't bother you too much as they are going to be travelling to objectives...but this comes down to who is leading them. Also when outposts/castles are up (Chests will be seen on the world map) stay away from those objects or near pathways around those zones, people there are much more likely to attack you. unless the object is literally about to open. 2. Learn to reset your presence: If you are trying to avoid PvP or you just killed someone and alerted everyone to you, understand what it means to reset your presence in a zone. Get out of there, goto a road, enter a dungeon and hide out for a while. Make people lose track of you. It can be frightening when people smell someone in a zone that has a loot of stuff on them such as clocking you at a 8.3 node or seeing you kill someone and they suddenly summon an army to get you. Once you've disappeared from the map long enough such as through a solo/corrupted dungeon jump or on the Ava roads, you can re-enter the map and resume your activities with a clean slate. 3. Watch your carry weight: This should be learned before you even go in the black zone but it is staggering how often people will blindly loot shit without checking their carry weight which disables recalling and slows you down immensely. 4. Judge intent: Read what players are doing and what it means to you. If you see someone in the inner ring standing around a zone exit and is in cheap gear or is carrying a high CC weapon regardless of tier, they could be a scout for a bigger group past them, you might want to hold off going into the zone behind them. If you suddenly get chased and they are not stopping despite having similar mount speeds it is more than likely that they are keeping track of you for their friends, you should try to veer unpredictably and jump into a corrupted dungeon or otherwise zone out. If someone is fishing they likely won't bother you even if they spot you. An immensely large zerg moving could well be on their way to an objective and MAY not stop to try to get you if time is against them. Getting a feel for what people could be doing is a good way to keep yourself alive longer.

the economy depends on people pvping and gear being destroyed, i don't see why a solo player cant enjoy the blackzone if you max your specs you can always use 4.1 gear. there is just as much solo pve content as there is pvp content, the only difference is that pve loot is horrible, which again makes sense. Since PVP drives the economy.

Instead of choosing a random gathering skill for silver... chose one if your build requires one of the gathering gear. For example I main hellfire hands. In order to land my e efficiently since it has a .95 second cast time so it's normally easy to dodge. I chose to focus gathering fiber so I can use the gathering helment for the sleep ability to make my build viable. So even when gathering my pvp build also gets stronger.

Honestly the best advice is to get into a guild with veteran player who show you the game. Don't be a zvz slave but engage in all parts of content. As for building your economy, I cannot recommend Personal Islands, in fact I demolished every labourer house on my guild islands. Some people enjoy gathering (it takes like 10 hours of gathering time to reach t8 and good money) - cannot recommend it rly Start by transporting items t4 4.1 5.0 5.1 to the caerleon black market, lookup item prices on the normal market and the black market on websites. You can easily get premium in a week just by doing that every day for 20minutes. Once you have like 10million + try to get into crafting 1 item, get good specs when you can afford to craft 8.3 etc you are basically rich by using your Fokus :)

Is there anyway you'd consider making a mid-game video? Gotten back into Albion recently and I would like to think I'd be considered "midgame", don't have t8 gear unlocked yet cause I switched my build several times but the only fame farm worth its time that is viable at the moment is open world mobs in red zones. I have t8 reaver but black zones will kill me ez cause of my low spec and IP. I guess some recommendations for good lower IP fame and silver grinds would be nice. started Albion with a lot of friends. now I have to relearn the game as a solo player because I relied too heavily on the content me and my friends liked to do together. now that they're gone, I'm just going around royals, meticulously looking for the lowest ingredients, lowest priced chef plot and then finally selling the finished product for dirt cheap. and repeating it until I can't do it anymore and finally getting to terms of dropping the game once and for all. am even going as far as searching for them "duel me for 1m" scammers and intentionally going out of bounds. (had this one dude who tried to trade the money back to me but I just pressed alt+f4.). I tried joining guilds and participating in zvz but it just does not feel right being surrounded by people who take the game too seriously.

All farming (crops) are profitable without focus. Profit is about 500k per hour. Using focus is a loss as the impact isn't big enough with current premium costs. focus can be profitable for mount crafting but have to have big investment to get average or just hit big by getting a baby back for rare mounts or double babies for ox/horses

I started playing a week ago and my issue is that the mobs in the higher tier areas kill me when I am trying to gather. I reached T4 gathering and decided to now focus on leveling my battle skills first so i can survive. But now i have run out of points😅
@larkwyll73516 ай бұрын
I found gathering to widely vary based on what zone/maps you start in. I recently started a new character on EU launch and made roughly 1 million per/day gathering and killing mobs in open-world out of Lymhurst with Wood and Hide as my two gathering trees. I since joined a guild in Martlock and my income tanked hard because their zones are much more barren. A lot of those maps are open space where as the Lymhurst areas are very dense for resource gathering for some reason. I don't know why this is, or if it is even intentional but it was very apparent after switching faction cities as my base of operations that Martlock area maps have a lot more open space and less resource density to stay in one small part of a tile and farm. In Lymhurst I could easily find areas where there would be 5-10 nodes around and I would make a small circle collecting them all quickly around 1-2 rarer .1-.3 nodes. Spot on regarding Hide even this many months later. Rarer hide spawns are very lucrative.
@namelessking1115 ай бұрын
When i first started albion i thought Martlock areas and even Fort Sterling areas are pretty barren too. But i'm now a tier 8 gatherer, gathering all over across the albion continent for all resources except stones (they suck), and i'd have to say to you that this is false. Ores are super abundant in Martlock but the resource node areas aren't structured and place the same as say the logs and hide in like Lymhurst or Thetford. Just go explore and study the map further, i earn a million silver per hour consistently in Martlock now.

Tip: Premium fluctuates based on gold prices, so if you notice it's lower than usual (lower than 20 mil as of now) you can save some money by buying gold and either paying in gold or cashing in the gold when it's time to renew. Even if you don't need to it just makes money usually since the gold price goes from 4900-5300 and you can make some money from the increase

Questions: 1. What is a 'learning point'? 2. Is PvP mandatory, or optional? 3. What are zones? 4. What are factions? 5. What is 'fame'? 6. What is a 'faction flag'? 7. What does 'tier 8' mean? It is both confusing, and depressing, when modern game force players into imbalanced PvP environments. It was a thing in the 80s/90s, in the 'here and now' it seems to just be a crutch for lazy devs, and bait to attract whales. I think opt-in PvP is all well and good, or a PvP mode/region is fine too. Punishing new players for being new players, is engineered incompetence, at best. Rewarding sociopathic tendencies is never a good idea.
@R7548-g9c4 ай бұрын
1. Learning points are used to instantly finish levels in skills. It can only be used if you have gained at least 20% fame in a skills. Obtained 10 once a day after playing for a while, while an additional 20 is also added automatically with premium. 2. There are PvP zones in the game, and it is the only way to get Tier 6, 7, 8 items in the game, other than buying from the market using your silver, so it is possible to completely avoid pvp while getting end game gear. 3. Zones are areas in the world map. Each zone is a square shaped area with different attributes, like the biome and type. Blue Zones are completely safe but only offer up to Tier 4, while Yellow Zones have some sort of PvP and tier 5 items, but you do not lose anything and you only get knocked out when attacked by a player. Red zones have tier 6 items and have full loot PvP, but you can check the map to see how much hostiles are in the area you are in, and only hostiles can attack people by changing their status from friendly. Black Zones are the most dangerous zones. Not only is everyone set as Hostile, there are Player Guilds who defend their territory. 4. There are two main types of factions. City Factions, and Player Guilds. City Factions are places where you can fight for a City, such as Martlock or Caerleon. You raid and conquer outposts to improve your standing with your chosen faction, and get lots of rewards. Player Guilds are self explanatory, but their main purpose is to be in Black Zones, claiming territories. 5. Fame is XP achieved by training your skills. 6. Faction Flagging is enlisting in a faction. You have a blue shield icon by your name by default in the top left of your screen, which means your Status is Friendly. It will turn into the emblem of the city faction if you have "flagged up" which is done by talking to the General of a city after you have enlisted in it. It can be removed by clicking on the icon of your faction on where the blue shield icon was. By clicking on your blue shield icon, you can also become a hostile. 7. Tier 8 is the highest tier of items available in the game.

For solo mobile players I recommend transporting hearts, trust me it's decently good bucks.. You won't have to worry much about freezing if you're playing it very safe It's very predictable on what enemies you'll encounter, you have to play it safe by checking the map beforehand and during transporting, what you'll need to look at is if your faction is occupying a route or most of it, if an enemy faction is invading, if your faction is actively taking back the route. Do not enter an enemy faction's populated zone, mostly blue, yellow zones, choose a dead route. If you're transporting in red zone, they're won't be much reds, always check maps for where players are dying and avoid those

Came back to this game a couple weeks ago and its been PAINFUL. Making money is basically relegated to Mists as dungeons have been nerfed into the ground. But even then if I make a couple hundred k in profit I get 1v8 ganked and lose my 300k gear set and any profit i've made, or in the mists I get ganked by an 8.3 duo. Its just shitty. I don't understand the mentality of the people in this game, I almost never see the 8 man squads vs squads of similar size, but rather ganking solo or duo players because its easy. Seems like the only point of guilds in this game is to be rats and I don't get it. In my time back to Albion i've had Maaaaaaaybe 2-3 deaths from solo or fair fights, usually its people who VASTLY outgear or outnumber me, usually both. Its fucking pathetic to be honest and shows the quality of people that play this game and how they play it. Currently i'm on the verge of dumping the game again. The devs have nerfed every form of money making for solo players that doesn't involve PVP into the ground and its not right, there should be ways to enjoy the game without constantly being worried about getting ganked by zerk squads. Mist part seems weird, i've been attacked by groups of 2 and 4 in the mists.

I had my goal set to make 500m on east, solo... Done that. Now what? I simply lost the desire to open the game... There isn't much you can do as solo player "purpose" wise. Joining group stuff should be able to fix this, but man I lost the will to play the game already.

only a fraction of the content is designed for solo play - and frankly its not very good if solo play in a large world is your thing then this game is one of the lesser options to choose from

So we should gather like the bots let me guess who wins.. Hide is cheap af. Take your time gathering use your money and get gear nuked hours lost.. This isn't a fair game in my opinion. Solo player everything got nerved

lol poor guy, looks like you never gathered in the red/black zone huh :( tier 6 and up is when you start to make lots of silver from gathering.

Hate to say it Mcgee but youre starting to repeat yourself and make the same boring video youve made 10 times before =(

This video collates a lot of his other videos and brings them up to date. Albion tends to change when you don't play it a while so these videos are helpful for people like myself who play on and off.

I just buy gold, then get bored and play something else. There's no need to waste hours and hours on boring repetitive tasks to make 30 millions when I can work and make that in the real world in 1 hr.
