im not a climber im a bmx'r. I get the thought pattern. you have to remember how long it took to progress to the next level. its easy to get complacent, keep pushing yourself past what you think you can do and remember what things you would have killed to do and realise you are well past any of those wildest thoughts. repeat that process and keep killing it ❤

I'd love to buy into a Lattice training plan, but I don't know if they are open to advising about injuries. I've been quite injury prone for the last year and focussing on rehab. Still quite injured and, honestly, I don't know what to do to improve my condition anymore. Not sure if this is the sort of thing to approach Lattice with.

I think it's common to fingerboard when fresh, but me personally, ive felt no difference in fingerboaring after bouldering. In most cases I've actually feel the fingerboard session is better. It best experimenting and doing what feels right to you and not necessarily what's right for others. I always say take other people's training ideas but don't copy them, adapt them to yourself. It must be noted that what I did in that session/day is not advised or practical (that was purely for videos sake, I would split the sessions up abit more). If you watch the last video on our channel i actually did all that in the same day as well 😂
@LatticeTraining
@LatticeTraining Жыл бұрын
It's is definitely more common place to FB before a climbing session (if you've already got a good training history on this tool). And in cases where FB is relatively new to the athlete it will either be lower intensity or short duration (like an extended warm-up), or performed on a separate day. I think in Pete's case he's got two reasons for doing this after a board session. 1. He's a very high level athlete and 99% of people watching might want to avoid copying like-for-like. 2. He said he crammed in quite a bit of training for the sake of the video, which if fine from time to time, but should be avoided where possible. It's worth noting Pete also has a huge capacity for climbing and training (check out the Lattice testing video) so where most us would be very fatigued, Pete will have a lot left in the tank 💪💪💪💪💪💪

I think for Pete it's the same idea that Alex Honnold have behind his phone (Alex stated it at JRE). Small so he could use it with one hand and it could fit into the pocket without restraining leg movment much, reliable, cheap to lose while trad climbing hundreds of meters above the ground.
