I am applying at WHO for a communicable disease laboratory officer, I will have written test and if I passed the test, I will get the interview. The written test will be carried out by email, I have 2 hours to finish. I will dig inside your post to know more about types of tests.

At WHO, most posts will have a timed test for 60-90 minutes. And with a mixture of essay and multiple choice or just essay. You must know the organization and details of the post and your field. Good luck.

Likely a admin questions, essay type, like 2-4 development question on how you would manage a situation. They would be related the UNDP or UN in general. I wouldn't expect any short answers or multiple choice.

Hello, I'm afraid that even in France or Switzerland, you will have to take the test in the language it was written in, which will be 99 % of the time in English. During the interview, they might switch to French. But, generally, everything is in English.

Anything to do with planning; budget, events, deployments with military affairs will focus on examples of failures, lack of team work, outside interference and how you dealt with it. System used ERP or SOP and how you use them to achieve your goal... You will have to know a lot about peacekeeping at all levels; again, budget, military, operation, deployment etc...

You might be able to pull it off, but the problem is, a lot of the test software they use will detect if you change screens (ALT-TAB). I could use two computers... That's just a thought.

What do you mean by "Don't burst the time"? Do you mean "Don't exceed the time limit"? If so, then some of your statements wouldn't make sense. Most of these tests will automatically submit your test at the end of the time limit, completed or not.

Hello Mario,unfortunately you were not able to state the HOW apart from going round and round in circles about the procedures and steps which does not really address your claim about knowing how to succeed at a UN test. It was really disappointing getting to the end of your video and realising i just wasted my time. No value added.
