While your compliment is well meaning, it is one that is also "Backhanded". Comparing this gentleman to a Black Athlete ISN'T an accolade one wants in ANY capacity. I've had a similar "compliment" paid to me as an Architect being compared to Tiger Woods. We are more than a Monolith of just sports in our professions and shouldn't be reduced as such when we are seen beyond the norms of society. Respectfully, try harder.

So your argument wasn’t based in the right place, you misunderstood my statement and maybe you misunderstand what great really means. What he is doing is great, inspiring others like himself to be great and showing them that this is a possibility for them as well. The day will come that the next great of the next generation will thank him for paving the way. Just like Kobe thanked Jordan. It’s all about how you perceive things, I only look at things with positivity and ignore any negative that could come of it. It’s a great way to go through life. Either way, I think he is great and will inspire the next great, just like Jordan.
