It would be better if you also show and talk about if we were completely wrong about the direction of the trade , so it can give us the better understanding of total loss

I'd like to see similar option trade videos like these but done in real time. Like making 1 or 2 follow up videos after the trade was first initiated.

Would be nice if you spent more than a few seconds on the potential for loss and included an example showing the maximum loss. Too salesy otherwise.

I'm new to options, but I'll give it a try just in the interest of learning. Closes at 2700: Short 3000 puts are ITM, so you have to sell 200 at 3000, losing $300/share, or $60000. But you can exercise your long 2800 puts for $100/share, or $20000. You lose $40000. Closes at 2600: Short 3000 puts are again ITM, so you have to sell 200 at 3000, losing $400/share, or $80000. But you can exercise your long 2800 puts for $200/share, or $40000. Again you lose $40000. So the most you can lose is -$38,380 ($40000 - the original $1620) Regarding losses, at 6:13 he says, "No sensible trader would ever let the trade get that bad." I'm assuming this means that you'd watch the index like a hawk and if you see that the index is not going to go your way, you'd buy/sell options to close the positions before they expire, for the best prices you could get. If anyone sees a flaw in this, I'd appreciate a correction. I'm here to learn what I can. Thanks.

On a SPY example today, if I buy 2 6/30 calls at 435, sell 2 puts at 405, and buy 2 puts at 403, I get an initial debit, with a BP Effect of $852. The video assumes the initial trade is a credit. What am i doing wrong?

Just pick a stock and do a weekly put option. Stocks go down way more than they go up. And you have a 75% chance on making money. People get to caught up in strategies tryna make max profit. When the real goal is to make steady daily profits...

I guess, it does not matter how many points below or above the options are compared to ATM price. You have to check delta.

The amount needed to use this is more than my portfolio value. Could use more actionable strategies for a little bit smaller account that takes the current Fed interference in consideration. Still loving the information.

I’m super interested in learning to sell options for income. But how can you say it takes no cash up front when the broker will require tens of thousands of dollars in collateral to do the trade?? This is definitely *NOT* helpful for beginners with small accounts. 😒

@@ReadTheShrill Out of every Fed meeting they have had since the start of them post covid.. Only 2 have lead to positive movement and both were short lived.. Everybody is banking on a Fed pause/pivot that’s not going to happen.. If you think anything positive will come from that then I can assure you it won’t! People never pay attention to momentum… Every rally this year has been weaker than the previous and every rally this year hasn’t been half of what it was last year.. A year that was considered awful, yet somehow people are bullish. Not 1 single positive thing going on and new negatives with more and more risk every other week but magically the market is going to boom… A lot of people are going to get a wakeup call and pain is coming!
