To get “surfable” waves here in Connecticut, you have to travel to other states. A “swell,” is not a swell, it’s just when the wind kicks up. The biggest wave size I’ve ever seen here on the CT coast is 3 and a half feet. This video is a miracle.

It took me a while for it to click but riding my tiny 5’0 fish, I really just had to focus on generating speed and settle with one or two big turns rather than trying to do a bunch of turns without generating speed. Generating speed in weak surf is the most crucial thing.

This is pretty much all I surf, I head out into small waves with my young daughter, I like the idea of a soft board so that I can help her out while out there, was thinking about a Catch Surf Log 7'0 for 2-3 Foot, any recommendations from anyone on this board or something similar?
