Your take on pain and suffering is SPOT ON!!! Wow! Soooooooo poignant! Love you sister.. seriously you have wonderful loving words of wisdom- I’ve done four Aya sessions now- each one incredibly different.. I never know what to expect.. anyway- I had friends that had a really really tough experience on Aya.. said they will NEVER EVER do it again.. scared them shitless…one of my friends had a near physical death and lost too many electrolytes from vomiting and sweating… people need to make sure they bring electrolytes to sip on every few min…but weirdly me too but I choose to see it as a priceless gift of self work and healing.. I said “ I’ll never do this again” Next day.. I will totally do this again. 😂 because I want to work on myself. Also- sending love to entities and past trauma ALWAYS ALWAYS works to dissipate negative stuff- then filled with love beings love for self..

Aw thank you so much for such a heartfelt and kind comment! ❤️❤️ Sending you so much love as well sister. So grateful for you. I also have had friends that had a really challenging Aya experience (actually, I did as well!) ... and I almost thought I would never do it again lol. But just like you, I ended up knowing I would do it again. The fear has actually been one of my greatest teachers. ❤️

Great tips. I can totally relate to them. Surrending could be very challenging but when you are fully surrender, you can enjoy the ceremony more. Ayahuasca is a very powerful plant medicine to work with, It is super important to chose a centre that you can fully trust. The Shaman and the facilitator are also very important.

I've listened to many trip reports, books, talks on psychedelics before taking a proper dose myself. It's impossible to understand their effects on you unless you experience it directly. It does something physical to the brain, no amount of consuming information about them can even come close to trying them yourself.

Hey! Thank you for making the video. My first Aya trip is coming up on Friday and I'm nervous but your video helped calm me down and feel like I can handle it. I've done mushrooms many times as well as LSD but they're obviously more lighthearted than Aya. I bad tripped on mushroom one time years ago to the point of suicidal ideation and once on LSD where I thought I was "stuck" in acid land and became paranoid. I was able to regulate myself during both incidents luckily but in the back of my mind I'm afraid the same might happen with Aya. The way you talk about surrender helped me though.

Wow sooo excited for you that you're about to have your first aya journey!! And I can absolutely resonate. I've also had the experience of believing I was stuck in the medicine. Ayahuasca actually taught me the whole concept of just being the witness to allow the fear to dissipate. It was a challenge for sure, but very worth it. I would seriously love to hear how it goes if you want to update me afterwards!! ❤

Danielle, thank you so much for sharing the wisdom you gained from Mother Aya with us. After listening to this video I finally understand what Jesus meant by, "Love your neighbor as yourself", and "Love your enemies". @@daniellerateau Thank you for your words of wisdom, thank you for your positive energy, and that you may receive much more wisdom and good energy in your existence, because to give a gift, one must first have that gift to be able to pass it on, and you certainly have many gifts to give! ☺ So I had my first experience here in Brazil yesterday from 18pm till about today 3am. I think that if I hadn't watched your video, my experience might have not been as insightful as it was. At first I was feeling all cozy. I could easily shrug off whatever "negative" entities that might try to loom into my CEVs, but then I remembered what I went there for. I needed to find within myself the things that were keeping me from being able to fight my addictions. So instead of ignoring whatever I felt (or saw) that could be bothersome I let my mind take me wherever it wanted. It was scary at first, but letting this happen and accepting it as part of the healing process was incredibly enlightening, which eventually turned into a beautiful experience. The experience taught me that addiction takes several steps to recovery, and that I have always been shrugging away all of the help I was receiving because it "wasn't working", when in reality I was expecting a miracle pill that would erase addiction off my mind. I will definitely be going back after I can absorb all of this.

Hi Suzette! I will definitely make a video about choosing a center...that one has been a long time coming lol. And in terms of exercise it totally depends on the center, but a lot of them actually offer optional yoga classes throughout the week! And there is also usually a decent amount of free time for integration and rest, so you could also use that time to stretch, walk, etc. :)

@@Elevatedlivingat49 You're so welcome! It's tough because I've only been to one specific center myself (where I worked); however, I have met a lot of people who have been to different centers, and here are some I've heard really good things about: Soltara (locations in Costa Rica and Peru), Anahata Ayahuasca, Temple of the Way of Light, Tantraya, Nimea Kaya, and Etnikas. All of those are in Peru. I'll definitely make a video about all of this in detail but when choosing, you really want to think about things like: shamans (Shipibo or not), group size, integration and preparation support, cost, additional activities/schedule, facilitator experience, number of ceremonies, additional medicines, etc. I would recommend checking out some of their websites, seeing what resonates, and then having a call with one of the facilitators!

Hi, I just found your channel yesterday. and I have watched at least 5 videos of yours and all of them spoke exactly what I was asking for or, thinking at the given time. I’m going to an Ayahuazca ceremony in two days, it’s just a Saturday ceremony. This is not my first time though-- went to the same place 5-6 times last year and d then couldn’t go anymore. I struggle with let it go, to go with the flow, I have so many things I wanna address about myself as well a my current circumstances. What do you recommend me to focus on?
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 5 ай бұрын
Hi there! I'm so happy to hear the videos spoke to what you were looking for. And I'm super excited for you that you're about to have a ceremony! I can absolutely resonate with having a lot of different intentions and not being clear on what to focus on. I've been there myself. When that happens you have a couple options. One is simply asking ayahuasca "show me what I need to know". I would also recommend sitting and meditating on what it is that is at the root of your feeling that it's challenge to let go/go with the flow. What energy is ready to be released (fear, judgment, etc.) and how can you hold space for more compassion for yourself? Part of the healing journey is recognizing that you're already 100% whole as you are. Sending you big hugs and lots of love on your journey ❤️

What would you say to someone who wants to do a ceremony where they can talk and move around the whole time?? Does this ever happen?
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 10 ай бұрын
Hi babe! Amazing question. This is going to depend entirely on who is leading the retreat/ceremonies. Most retreats I've seen do not encourage dancing/talking because it can distract from other guests' experiences (and even your own potentially). So if someone is talking a facilitator may come over and remind them to focus on their internal process. That being said, I know there are some traditions/ceremonies where they actually dance throughout a large portion of the ceremony. Just something to ask the shamans/facilitators themselves before deciding on a retreat :)

I can absolutely resonate. And it can be super challenging to have that kind of experience. That's part of why it's so important to feel comfortable/safe in the space where you're having ceremony. @@danielrodriguez5766 haha have to love the matching initials! 🤣 and you're so welcome. In terms of your question about Christianity/religion and ayahuasca here are my thoughts: At the retreat I worked at we had plenty of people come through who were Christian and if anything I think it strengthened their beliefs and connection to God. Also, I truly believe everything has been created by the same source (God, creator, consciousness) - so to me, ayahuasca is like a messenger/teacher that helps us to reconnect with that source. Almost like a bridge to God. I know people will have different opinions on this, so at the end of the day you just have to trust yourself and do what feels right for you 😊❤

If Aya gives you what you need rather than what you want, why would you need to have an intention? Does Aya know you better with or without the intention?
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 2 ай бұрын
The intention can be really helpful to serve as an anchor during your ceremony. Something to refocus on if you start to get distracted or things become intense. And in general, living with more intention can be helpful to guide us through life ❤️ But yes, at the end of the day Aya will give you what you need. that's part of the practice of letting go and releasing expectations. I've experienced both in various ceremonies.
