He had to land a plane while literally being burned alive. That alone is badass. He then had to jump out of the plane while it still was airborne, survive the jump and landing, then survive the plane explosion, then survive 63 operations. And after all that he's still good looking, eloquent, smart and well dressed. What a guy.

@@jdbruiser a lot of people after a severe accident like this never get on with their life, never start working again and becoming a productive member of society. Even me myself after breaking my spine (horribly I may add), I went back to work for 2 years until one day I decided that I just couldn’t do it anymore…was in chronic horrible pain everyday, all I wanted to do was sleep all the damn time, and my wife was angry with having to help me get dressed in the morning (I used to wake up around 4am to get dressed and such because in the morning I am very sore and stiff and need a lot of extra time to get moving). When you have an injury as such, people aren’t as understanding as you would think/wish they would be….it’s hard, don’t fool yourself. I’m sure this man has horrible anxiety and feels like no matter where he goes people are staring…who knows if his wife has a with him still, or if his kids if they are little are afraid of how he looks. It’s amazing he flew again too. Since I hurt myself so badly in a fall I am absolutely horrified of heights (I wasn’t before) to the point that stepping on my apartment balcony I feel feint-ish. Im not only worried about the height itself, but that I will feint and fall while unconscious because I am now so afraid - a far cry from how things used to be, I used to be Damn near fearless. Learning to walk, pi%^ and sh%* again does a number on a person.

Pilots don’t get enough respect today, especially flying commercial. They deal with hundreds of lives and even more below them, balls of steel.
@HicSvntDracones
@HicSvntDracones Жыл бұрын
Thing is, staying calm is the key to surviving any emergency, and it is heavily worked into aviation. Everything we do, even private pilots, is a checklist. You get out the book, you find the associated issue, you go through the checklist. You can't freak out and get distracted or anything, because you have a checklist to follow, and freaking out isn;t on that checklist.. I am serious, think about how you react when stuff just happens, then think about how you react if you are focused on a paper that is literally step 1 step 2 step 3 and so on. That is one of the biggest things people get wrong about aircraft, they tend to think it is like a car, get it, go. It isn;t.. Everything is a checklist, you don;t just start the aircraft, even if you have been flying the same plane for 10 years daily, each time.. you go through the start engine checklist...

@@DX-d why do you have to bring that into this...can't we just have a fun, humorous comment and not make some stupid religious statement...im also a Christian but I don't decide to just go to KZbin videos and type things up and my religion just because I want to make a statement, seriously, if you want people to start believing in God, then comments like this have done the total opposite...you actually found a comment and felt the need to say "oh no no, it was god"...CLEARLY it was a joke, of course death did not LITERALLY throw his hands up, and leave and fear a human being..but you felt the need to take it so so serious and correct me to say "wait wait, no no, that is inaccurate, that probably isn't what happened"...seriously, I love my god too, but sometimes I gotta wonder if he was drunk when he made people like YOU, and of course the platypus...you're probably REALLY FUN to hang out with making sure that everytime someone makes a metaphorical comment you feel the need to point out jt was God, im sure people just love it

He was probably just trying to do anything to relieve some of that pain. I'm sure that moment they hit him with the morphine was probably the greatest moment of his life.

@First Last Superficial is innate to humans, so by human nature people will call him "ugly." It takes people a long time to appreciate us for our true beauty. Not many humans would say he is attractive on appearance ALONE, but as soon as he speaks his charisma comes out!
