Out of curiosity, what do you do if you want to study after "lights out"?. Do you just have to suck it up? Because I'm a senior and it's pretty common for me to study until around 12-1 am either due to procrastination or the fact that I do have to stay up that late to get homework done with extracurriculars, university/scholarship/internship applications, etc

Rheana T Just pretend you're in bed for when the houseparent comes round to check that you're asleep, and then get up again after. They probably won't check again. In my boarding house at school, sometimes they don't even check and like half the time I'm still awake studying and they're just like "make sure you don't stay up too long" 😂

Often times the school has like a 2 hour mandatory study time. At least, mine does.

I was forced to enter boarding school. In malaysia it's a pretty common thing to enter boarding school because you can get in even if you're broke. I didnt want to, but my mom went to boarding school when she was a teen too so i still ended up here but im doing good haha. *actually crying*

It really does depend on the school. For what I’ve experienced, most boarding schools range from £9,000-£13,000 per term and most scholarships offer about 5-15% off. Most boarding schools are private so you normally have to do an exam to get in. I think for sixth form you have to do exams in the subjects you are doing for A-levels and you also have to do an interview+a report from your current school. As I said before, every school is different but this is what you have to do to get into my boarding school and what I’ve experienced and heard from my friends. if you are going, make the most out of it-it’s almost like a huge sleepover so just enjoy it! :)
