Once, I volunteered to sacrifice in San Sebastian. As I stood on the very tip of the crane, expecting a final showdown, I missed my Heavy Saber swing on a runner, causing me to be flung off the wall. Miraculously, the fall didn't break any of my bones. Yes, my body bounced off the ground like a tennis ball, but no cracks or screams could be heard, probably because the runner is still nibbling away at my vocal chord. Ah well, most of them have gotten onto the lifeboat, at least I can see my brethren one last- Wait, an officer charge? I wondered to myself when I saw my comrades of French, British and Portuguese burst out of their makeshift fortifications, cutting through the horde of cannibals like Cuirassiers trampling Light Infantrymen. As the runner's teeth finally found their way to my trachea, threatening to rip it off, an English seaman lobbed off the head of my adversary. "Bloody Hell!" He said, "Look what they've done to you!" Still in a daze, and unable to speak due to blood clogging my vocal chord, I am at last dragged back to the lifeboat that promised to deliver us away from this nightmare. And as a French surgeon tended to my wound and an English priest performed exorcism on me, I gazed back to the wall of San Sebastian, wondering all but one question: "How in the absolute fuck did I survived that fall?"

there also another method but its very unlikely, so basically you need to be pushed down off the edge by a runner and then get saved by a teammate (it cancels the fall damage)

I remember i sacrificed as surgeon and was gonna just fight at the sacrifice place but then after thinking for a second i went down to the cannon place, fell down, and successfully survived. I even got saved by a bomber.

i thought survive would mean escape, like what hapens if a runner tackles you off and somebody kills it. i did this kind of survival once when somebody else was closer to the zombies so i didnt even have to fight, and ive seen plenty survive by just fighting or backtracking the map

One time, I was at the 2nd cannon with a brunswick soldier and while me and him were defending at the second cannon but then the objective that you gotta go to the platform came, I was gonna rush the platform but while i was gonna do it, the brunswick soldier got mauled by a runner and my dumb@ss brain thought i can just save him and me and him could rush to the platform in time, so i jumped down and saved him with my heavy sabre and we both ran back through the fort but after i went through the first door, I got into a collision with a shambler, and the brunswick soldier tried to save me but there were too much shamblers on me that i died once he killed all of them. But even though I died and the brunswick soldier could’ve gotten a risk of getting his legs broken, the brunswick soldier got to survive since i saved his life.

It’s also possible to survive San Sebastián by clipping a edge of the wall while falling down, I’ve done it twice before but it’s very unreliable

the time I did the sacrifice. I was like oh man I’m gonna have to wait the next game session of this map. Because I did it on one life when I sacrificed myself. But I somehow survived from falling from the lower part of the fortress and I got the badge for beating it on one life 🤯

There's another method, by being a bugle musician class. It's worked most of the time (at least for me) because the buff from bugle is very helpful and there's no cooldown effect unlike charge skill from officer class.

handaxe is very useful in those cramped space especially the sacrifice part and 2 normal handaxe swing is already 90 damage while unbuff sabre take 3 swing to deal 90 damage also there still a short cooldown depend on the amount of damage you deal per second it has NO cooldown before it can be recharge but it still have a cooldown that can be fast or slow depending on the amount of damage you can deal so yeah handaxe win but double everyone damage is still good so for sacrifice handaxe win but for team bugle win
