I am wondering if you could do a video covering proper linking of the body rotation, pull and recover arms, and the kick. The timing your swimmer here is doing looks off to me. I consider, with the 6 beat kick, the #1 kick to be the power kick because it uses the body rotation to add power to that kick. For me, I link the down kick, say on the right side, with the arm pull on the right side. Usually this happens when the arm is about 45 degrees through the pull. I can't tell for sure here, but it looks like your swimmer does that front kick when the arm is just starting to pull, like at 10 degrees or so. When the arm is at 90 degrees, he does another down kick, but it doesn't look like the power kick.

I agree. And the hands seem too rigid as well. But it is tricky and takes a lot of practice to get everything right. I prefer the videos of Skills NT Swimming and Swim Fast when it comes to tutorials.
@robohippy4 жыл бұрын
@@LK-cj5wv My favorite channels are Swim Skills NT, and the Race Club. Race Club is geared more to elite swimmers. Swim fast, it that the Aussie who takes in video and does critiques? If so, he is good, but is very repetitive. My Swim Pro is okay, but not my favorite.

The freestyle is the fastest stroke in swimming. You alternate your arms one-by-one and breathe to the side. You flutter kick with your legs to stay high and balanced in the water.

I can swim like this with my head down. But when I turn my heard to breathe, I seem to sink. And to make up for my sinking head, my other supporting hand sinks down into the water. Any advice for me?
@kunlinye52702 жыл бұрын
Do balance drill, really feeling the core stabilizing the body when turn the body to breathe. Side kick drill will help you keep one hand in front and breath which resembles the breath when swimming freestyle
@RienRocks2 жыл бұрын
Competitive Swimmer here. I can’t really tell you exactly what your doing wrong because I can’t see it. I’d suggest making sure you don’t bring your head to far up when you breath. Try keeping one ear in the water, and only go far enough to where your nose comes out the water, then breath with your mouth or nose. I’m sure you have this down but I’ll say it anyways: Make sure you keep a fast and steady kick to help your hips from sinking. Again I can’t see what your doing, so it’s hard for me to give the exact information you need. Have a nice day.

One part is wrong. You shouldn't keep your wrists tight. Your whole body should be lose. Or you will drown.
