Found my issue on my own after searching answers. My issue, under iMessages, it says, addresses. When I switched carriers, my emails and iPad2 We’re listed but my phone number wasn’t set or checked off. It was there, just not checked. Once it was, all iMessages issues were resolved.

If you want to make sure messages deliver as iMessage 1. Turn on airplane mode. 2. Turn on wifi. 3. Open contact and in text box if it shows "iMessage" that means other person has internet connection and iMessage can be sent. If it says "text message" do not send message because it will be sent as sms and you can't even undo it.

What finally worked for me was: airplane mode, wifi on, go to contacts, find the contact, BUT DONT SELECT THE UPPER MESSAGE BUTTON. Go down and select "Send Message", which will give you the option to send it to either phone number or apple account (email). Select the email, send a message, it will turn blue, and all messages after that will be blue.

The only thing you have to do is power it off then power it on if you just don’t from Transferring your stuff to a different phone i personally waited a couple of hours but you can try if before that and see if it worked but the things in the video did not work for me

Go to the contact detail of the person you try to send the iMessage, add their e-mail address in the contacts(what they use for the iMessage) then press and hold on the message icon until a drop down menu appears and select the email address. The when the MMS window appears just close it. Next time you write a message to that person the iMessage will be back on.
