That was a long time ago, but this is how I think I solved it. (Notice: This method is the only way that I know of, and is a pain in the ass) 1. Go to someone elses computer. 2. With a usb stick, add linux mint live iso onto it. 3. On your computer, boot into the live linux mint and reformat your hard drives to NTFS. 4. On windows installation, the hard drives should now be NTFS and it should work. Please note that reformating your hard drives to NTFS will DESTROY all files on them. This is how I think I solved it, I have had many different problems since then so I could be mistaken.@@yourdad602

Thanks dude, after installing Garuda and using it for a couple days i personally don't like it much. Gaming is really good but the desktop is laggy and resizing windows is also pretty laggy, which is the case for most Linux Distro's, also the terminal for a newbie like me is really confusing. If i am correct in the NVIDIA X Server Settings Wayland doesn't support Digital Vibrance, which really bugs me because i'm used to everything being really vibrant. Also i ran into a problem where my HDD was detected but couldn't mount so for around 40 minutes i had to go through forums to try to find a solution but thankfully i did. I could have literally just left a comment saying "Thanks dude" but i decided to leave this instead because i'm trying to kill time until the .iso finishes downloading. Anyways thanks a lot.

Make a partition on your drive, get the iso file, place the files into the partitions, make sure the EFI is also inside it, and then use some tool to make the partition bootable. Idk what app is it for on Linux, but then reboot and press F1/F12/ESC/F6/F8 or whatever key is for boot key (Google your device up) then select the duplicate drive name and press it, make sure it doesn't install on your partition. Make it install on the main drive

Ventoy just lets you boot ".iso" files directly, without having to convert the format of the usb. I know it's an old comment, but just so you know.

I would have fully committed to Linux, but I wanted to use Kali Linux in a laptop which had arch and when I tried to install Kali Linux after installation it does not boot and leaves me in bios setup. I tried the same USB to boot Kali Linux into my another laptop, and it works like a charm. Not only that, but I then tried to install Debian and Parrot OS but F me it didn't even give me an installation page but a GNU GRUB terminal or something and before you guys start replying that I must have not created the bootable USB correctly and all that just so u know the same USB works in another laptop in which I installed Kali Linux. Now again u might tell me that the USB port of the laptop be damaged but when the same USB is used to created bootable arch Linux I don't know how the f it takes me to the arch install, and I can install and run arch Linux. I probably think It's because I am booting arch as system-boot, but I am not a wizard and I don't know how the f to solve this problem so I am planning to reinstall windows and run Kali Linux in virtual box.

The usb should not show up in your downloads. It's on the left side of the files window. If you have the usb plugged in and don't see it, then we have the same problem.
