And today's new ear DIY! Tomorrow I'll be showing you how to make a much more detailed custom fit pair of fake ears with these casts. It'll work with elf ears, Spock ears (which is what I made these for) you're pretty much only limited by your imagination.

Somehow there isn't a link on the description as to what you used. I'd really appreciate if you can handle that thank you! xx

+KlairedelysArt ~Sorry if this is a bothering question but will you continue with the Emotion series? and if you do can you please do Depression..i got diagnosed with depression a while back but I'd love to see how you'd interpret it 🌸~Thank You.

I haven't planned on stopping that series any time soon, but some of the darker moods have a bit of a tendency to make me quite depressed, so I try to only film them when it'll be cathartic for me.

cool , one additional thing have you ever had any accident with cotton balls or ear plugs not working and it hardens into the hear. I imagine you want to always pour not directly on the ear. But do you recommend ear plugs or cotton ...Also the viscosity of the alginate mixture would highly affect the danger of it flowing into the hear...i say ear plugs cover that as well for the most part but you think cotton it flow around or stick cotton down there.

Are you saying algernate, because I haven't found any such thing

this is awesome! I have small ears so most prosthetic ones, specifically my Hobbit ones I have, are and feel really huge on my own ears, haha.

are there any alternatives to alginate?
@davidcoleman20077 жыл бұрын
When you pour that material in the ear... how well does it block the sound? I was hoping I could make a custom perfect fitting earplugs that I could use for sleeping when the other person is snooring, and I am hoping it would do a much better job than silicone plugs that you can buy in the pharmacy as it reduces complete ear vibration

can you put a glaze or something over the finished ear cast to make it shiny and water proof? and if so what kind?
@Rendosian8 жыл бұрын
I've made a face cast before and when I went to use it, (was working with polymer clay) the clay ended up sticking to the cast and ruined it. What can I coat the cast with to prevent that?
@AEZAKM14 жыл бұрын
idk if you still need an answer for this, but there’s a thing called mold release spray that u can use
@puppymusic1238 жыл бұрын
Do you use anything to seal the plaster with afterwards?
@MarinusMakesStuff4 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I'm going to try this to make a silicone model instead of a plaster model. Thanks for the explanation :)

So you don't apply the vaseline on the ear itself? I'm scared that the alginate it's gonna get stuck on the ear jaja.

can you still do this if you have ear piercings/stretched lobes?
@princessunikitty81337 жыл бұрын
The person she did it to had pierced ears and it even showed up on the finished mold. I would assume that it’s safe.

Nose casting , teeth casting , or other body parts are less so dangerous i say ear is the most dangerous or at least a face cast when your near the eyes/eye lids. But again this is just my first time on some of these more delicate body parts. I have experience casting other parts no problem but when it comes to internal openings i become a little more careful ...and take more time to study it. Anyway great video its really cool how professional you can do this stuff just by knowing some simple molding/casting/sculpting techniques
