The result looks great! So far I have used a diffuser and a DIY light bouncer separately but this trick seems to combine best of both methods. I'll definitely give it a try.

where I will find the camera settings for exposure and flush for my Nikon camera?

I used to place a lens cap in front of the pop-up flash at an angle so that the flash would direct all the light to the ceiling. That was a pain and worked only half the time PLUS...one hand was occupied by the lens cap. This tip is way better.
@MooseWinans8 жыл бұрын
Oh really? I have never tried that.

what If I turn my camera sideways, but have tan walls. Does that matter? I only tried it straight forward. I live in the Seattle area, So I take more indoor then outdoor pix this time of year due to rain.
@MooseWinans8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this trick won't work well if you do it when shooting vertically, especially if the walls are tan. Shoot horizontal and if need be, crop to vertical if you prefer.

That awkward moment when I can't help but think..."Why didn't I think of that". BTW...Mike Browne proposed using a film role box, after making a hole just large enough for the flash. I believe that Gary Fong himself himself after way that video, because his diffuser dome became obsolete after that. Thanks for the brilliant tip.
