Hello.at which month olive starts weight gain.my baby is IUGR low birth weight baby with 2kg.after birth she lost some weight 1.8kg.after 20 days she reached upto only 2.2 kg .she is not gaining weight .I'm giving breast milk every 2 or 3 hours.can you suggest me how to gain the weight.and please let me know at which month babies starts rapid weight gain

Your baby is doing well. Your baby needs to take feeding every 2 hours even during night. So approximately it should be 10 times a day. if your baby doesn't want to drink. It's okay. Don't force. Sleeping on tummy is not safe for the baby. Nobody recommends that. Always make your baby sleep on back at 45 degrees angle. We never faced any such problem till now. You need to give just the right amount so that they don't have digestion problem. She is already good weight now. I don't think she needs it now.

Breast milk is diluted because it has more water content. It is summer they need hydration. That's very natural. Continue breast milk. Give formula milk if you don't have sufficient breast milk and the baby is hungry. Breast milk is the best option. Don't stress yourself. Continue breast milk

If you are giving kangaroo care its better to sit or slightly lie down. don't sleep completely. Whenever baby is sleeping always the baby sould sleep on the back. never let the baby sleep on their face.

I too faced the same problem. Consult your doctor, they prescribe some medicine to increase your breast milk production. Even after using it you don't see an increase, consult your baby's doctor and seek the right formula milk for your baby. Do it as soon as possible. They baby will starve due to insufficient feeding and that is a big problem for both of you

Definitely, to be frank, more than breast milk. Breast milk purely depends on the nutrition of the mother, but formula milk is full of nutrients in every feed. Don't worry about it. The only thing that formula milk doesn't have is antibodies, hence we have to be careful in terms of proper hygiene for our baby
