Thank you Joe. I truly enjoy your videos. A year and a half ago, I started out with my first Nikon, a Z50. Since then a 6ii and most recently a 7ii. I cannot thank you enough for all I’ve learned by viewing your video’s. There have been other KZbin channels that have helped me advance during this time frame as well, but your demeanor and soft tone is greatly appreciated. What a gentleman! Looking forward to more tips in the future. Thanks again.

Thank you for the tips! I will try to take some fireworks shots tomorrow. I only have 50mm and 85mm prime lenses, but I am pretty far away on the hill. Probably will use portraite orientation to get the height of the fireworks. Will have to use 2s delay timer and 4 shots in the row to minimize the shake and optimize the amount of shots. The landscape is just dark fields and a small area of ppl gathering by the bonfire.

Thank you for the informative video!! I have a question I have the opportunity to be in the pit with the firework technicians. Would that be a good place to photograph from or would I be better off at a distance? I'm torn and don't wanna miss some great shots being in a small town we only get fireworks a few times a year.

I have a Nikon D7500. You didn't mention anything about deactivating the flash. Also, I was a little confused about how you set your focus.

Definitely do not use flash...

Apparently you use Auto white balance? You didn’t mention where it should be set.
@ShutterSpeak2 жыл бұрын
Great point. I shoot in raw and I can alter it in post so yes, I use auto. I also think it works really, really well.
