8:00 exactly. I feel like environmental self portraits are generally more sophisticated, and less narcissistic.. and less "tik tok e boy ish"
@AidinRobbins3 жыл бұрын
Nope- just easier haha. Arguably less sophisticated as they typically take less time to create. No need to look down on other styles
@DebzLife3 жыл бұрын
@@AidinRobbins I was comparing environmental self portraits with selfies. lol. Environmental self portraits are Def more sophisticated and less narcissistic when compared to regular selfies. And yes, you're right. Every way of photography is sophisticated. Except selfies. Those are just narcissistic 😂
@Henry_443 жыл бұрын
@@DebzLife don't you think narcissistic are only applies to something at "extreme" level? Because to me taking selfies or pictures of themselves is pretty normal but if they're doing it too much and asking for attention for it that's obviously narcissistic but i see a lot of people saying a regular selfie or anything related to "liking something about themselves" is narcissistic I just think people throw around the word narcissistic without properly understand it,but it could be me who is the one who doesn't understand it properly since English is not my first language I Apologise if there's mistakes,as i said english is not my first Language haha
@DebzLife3 жыл бұрын
@@Henry_44 look, hating burgers is hate. so is terrorism. it's a spectrum. Hate can be extreme or minor. Same way, narcissism can be extreme or minor. I mean.. selfies aren't exactly purely narcissistic. but, there is a very small hint of self boasting in selfies, so I'd say it's minorly narcissistic. I think narcissism isn't the best term to use here.. since, selfies are in no way as attention seeking as tik toks and stuff.... but, you know my first language isn't english either, but people tend to get blown away by my opulent vocabulary, since I'm an indian haha.
