It is nothing that stops me from moving or doing any other function so i dont feel bad but i have a hypersensitivity in my body (for example the weight of the shirt that i am wearing on my sholders hurts). Hi, what do you have the vials / small bottles, if so, just put less in the syringe Say you have a 10ml strength bottle there is at least 5mg liquid ( sometimes 6 or 7 as when i used the needles the cheap diabetes needles go to 5 but there was still plenty in the bottle, a few times i got 8mg ) so you have a 10mg strength bottle, if you want 5 strength just 1/2 fill the syring so instead of 5 fill it to 2.5 For the price of a 10 strength bottle, you can have 4 x 2.4 3 x 3.3 2 x 5 works out much cheaper, i used top but the 15 bottles and get 3 x 5's out of it saved plenty of money over 12 months All with doctors guidance, often some strength bottles were unavailable so my GP would give a new prescription at the highest amount the chemist shop had in stock

I think this advice was meant for those who have been given a pen and found the dose to be too strong. Instead of throwing the pen away and getting a lower dose pen you could reduce the amount dispensed from your current pen. Quite handy if you're paying for them yourself... I think he was showing each 2.5 to simplify how to divide the doses, in the UK we have to step up from 2.5 so wouldn't have access to a 15mg pen until we had each pen dose from 2.5 to 12.5 for at least a month each so I can get 15mg after 6 months.

Can you share the link to where Lilly states a UK kwikpen can be used for 6 weeks after first use. All patient instructions and Lilly websites state 30 days from first use. Obviously it makes sense to question instructions shared on youtube which contradict patient instructions and while I see many people saying "it will be fine" I have not seen actually credible information from Lilly.

Put it immediately into a fridge after buying, and you can use it longer than 30 days. The 30-day limit is for when you don't keep it cooled after purchasing. If you cool it without interruption you can use it until the stated expiration date. For my pens that was 8 months in the future.

Sorry but you are wrong. Every pen has 4 doses with 15 mg in every dose, so 60 mg in every pen IN TOTAL. With 60 clicks per pen IN TOTAL that's 1 mg per click. So a 2.5 mg dose will be 2.5 clicks. If you are counting 10 clicks you are taking a 10 mg dose, not 2.5 mg. Again, EVERY PEN HAS 4 DOSES SO THAT'S 60 MG PER PEN. IF EVERY PEN HAS 60 CLICKS THEN 1 CLICK IS 1 MG. Of course maybe there is a misunderstanding in your video, maybe what you really want to say BUT YOU DID NOT SAY is that EVERY DOSE has 60 clicks, so then we will have 240 clicks PER PEN. Is that the problem? The very first thing you have to explain is HOW MANY CLICKS EACH PEN HAS. And then we could do all the calculations from there.

You can’t get that dose exactly however 7.29mg is 35 clicks and 8.33mg is 40 clicks.

@MohamedIbrahim-hj9li it has been used for longer than 6 weeks by some patients. But be careful about efficacy of molecule and speak to your endocrinologist if response not appropriate or any injection site reaction

Put it in the fridge immediately after purchasing it. Your pharmacy should've received it cooled. If that is the case and you keep it cooled all the time, you can use it until the expiration date. The expiration date on my pens was 8 months in the future.

Thanks for the amazing instructions If im using the 15mg pen and only having 2.5mg weekly for the first 4 weeks, will it be 10 clicks from 0 for the first dose, and then 10 clicks from the 0 for the second dose as well? Or is it an additional 10 clicks from the 0 now (ie 20 clicks total)?

@Andrewg1378 please ensure you have your Endocrinologist supervision to decide about correct dosing. Yes, 10 clicks deliver about 2.5mg dose from the 15mg pen device. Please be mindful that the longer the duration of pen device after opening the lower can be efficacy of the molecule... usually after 6 to 8 weeks the company doesn't advise pen usage

I ‘m having the same question, we count , for the 2nd,3rd etc week the same 10 clicks or we add 10 clicks every week? ( 2nd week-20 clicks, 3rd week- 30 clicks and so on)

@SachetBlanc 10 clicks on the 15mg mounjaro Kwikpen device is going to roughly administer 2.5mg dose which needs to be the same for 4 weeks at least. So you will do 10 clicks each time. You need supervision of your endocrinologist to help you decide your next month dose. For 1st month you will do same 10 clicks with each dose

Can l take 60 click full dose from 7.5 mg+ extra 20 clicks (2.5mg)= 10 mg because l need 10 mg?? Or can l take extra 10 clicks ( 1.25 mg)?

@Baheth569 if you have the 7.5mg pen then you have to inject twice with full dose of 7.5mg (60 clicks) and another 2.5mg (20 clicks) but this is be very costly option. Go for 10mg pen device instead

5 mg from a 7.5 mg pen is 40 clicks. Clicks = (dose required/standard pen dose) x 60

Anyone has used the same mounjaro 15mg pen for longer the 6 weeks. Is the medication still effective or it doesn’t work anymore? It is cheaper for me to buy 50 mg pen to use over period of two months.

@saromaz6952 , ensure you have supervision of your endocrinologist to judge your clinical response. You don't want to be injecting a chemical in your body while not knowing what's it doing, esp if the usage is beyond the recommended box instructions and efficacy of molecule is questionable.

@ninaplei8519 people have used it off licence use, but efficiency can't be guaranteed after 6 weeks. That's why supervision of your endocrinologist is important for your own safety and getting adequate clinical response.

I’ve used mine for longer and it definitely still worked. In U.K. they’re now coming with an added sheet of paper to say they’ve got a longer shelf life. Also look on the side of the pen and it will say the expiry date (my one I’ve just finished Aug 24 says expiry date Jan 25. I don’t know about Mounjaro, but the wegovy instructions say you shouldn’t use if the liquid is cloudy.
