Wow, that means a lot! Thanks so much for, first off, taking the time to watch and, second, being generous enough to share this out. I hope it provides your club members with value!

Hi Wade, I'm in for an evaluator in our club. (online) got to get the tech stuff sorted. However, I've learnt more from the Evaluator role again, with your video Thank you. PS. I've recommended other new Toastmasters to check out your videos. Cheers from a TM in Australia

Thanks so much, Rosalynd! I'm so glad this video was helpful and it means a lot that you've passed my videos on to other fellow Toastmasters! Thank you :)

A very beneficial post. I would offer this one small suggestion and that is a mistake on nomenclature, a podium is what you stand on and a lectern is the thing you place your notes on. This is always pointed out in our meetings.

Thank you! I appreciate the heads up on that, I'll do my best to fix that language going forward!

@@sincehott I had a chance to watch your speech. Great job (especially considering it's only your second speech)! Here are some of my thoughts... -The speech had a great structure with an opening, a body and a conclusion, which made it easy to follow along. -You filled pauses with silence (instead of crutch words like "ahh" or "umm"), which is a great skill to have. -You had solid eye contact and didn't rely on your notes. -You injected humour at the right places to get some laughter from the audience. Here are two "gifts" or things you can work on for future speeches: -It was very difficult to hear, so I'd suggest speaking louder in your next speech and utilizing vocal variety to capture the audience's attention. -Throughout most of the speech you constantly bounced back and forth from your left foot to your right. Try to stand still and make purposeful movements that include body language that supports the speech. -- Overall, amazing job!
