How about the bathroom breaks? Why is it that some people didn’t get it? Also, who should I contact about the way I test? Sometimes I talk to myself or look at the ceiling to remember something. Sometimes I fidget in my seat and move to a different area of the house because my back hurts. I really hope that my breaks are not skipped.

We've heard mixed things about bathroom breaks and that has depended on if you are taking it at home or at a testing center. The best thing to do is to check with your school or test center, or when you start your test at home with your proctor, ask them about the bathroom break and talking to yourself etc. I know for sure you can't move to different rooms in your house or anything like that so you'll just have to try to do your best and make your proctor aware of any thing they should know about. It kind of sounds like testing in a test center might be better for you than from home. Have you scheduled your test yet?

Hello should I do the pre-test checklist days before my remote exam or that day of? Is dry run the same as pre test checklist? Also will ATI provide checklist of the steps to follow for the Dry Run right? since there’s so many steps there’s no way I’ll be able to remember them with no guidelines like looking up my phone

You should do the pre-test checklist well in advance of the actual test, do not do it the day of the test. The dry run is not the same as the checklist but it is a part of the process to make sure you are ready to go on test day. If you have a new macbook air you are good to go because it already has a camera and microphone. You will to a trial login at least a day if not more before your actual test day where you can simulate the environment and make sure you set up is working. When is your test date?

Should I take the remote proctoring dry exam right before the exam or a day before?

Definitley take it a few days before the actual test date if you can. Do NOT try to do it the same day or even day before. In case you have any technical issues you will need to resolve on your end you want to leave yourself plenty of time to resolve those issues, the last thing you need to do is put yourself in a time crunch or any added pressure. Are you taking the TEAS 6 or TEAS 7?

Please while i was taking my exams, they was some technical issues, and i notify proctor officer that i can't skip to the next question, she said okay she'll have to relaunch it, i clicked on it and briefly went behind my laptop to check my internet plug connector only for me to get back and she messaged me asking if i went on a break, i said no and explained. 5 minutes later she ended the exam and i was told that they'll be an investigation bcoz i didn't keep to the rule, but if need to take it asap, for now i will have to go to an exam center in person. Please has anyone experienced that before? I just feel the proctor office was not being nice.

So my monitor is mounted onto my wall, it’s able to swivel horizontally but not vertically. Will that be an issue? Is there a live proctor watching your pretest process and your test process or does it send them a recording of the exam?

We're not 100% sure so you should check with the proctoring company ahead of time. I can't see why that would be an issue, there is a live proctor and they make you scan the room with your cam so they can see your set up.

Hi Amy! It's really a personal preference for each student. If you did not have a good set up at home, like busy home with lots of people in it, or didn't have a dedicated space or room you can close the door to, or slow or not reliable interest then taking at a testing center would be the better option. If you do have a good set up at home then there really isn't too much difference. However we have heard lots of stories about technical difficulties taking it at home, not everyone, but it does happen so if you wanted to be on the safe side you could take it at a testing center. When is your test date?

The test is proctored by another person who can view your room through your webcam. You are allowed to have blank sheets of paper which you will show them that it is blank when you start and you can use that blank paper however you want including writing out formulas or working out problems for math.

I took it a couple of months ago. And I had a massive issue with it on my MacBook Air. I had everything downloaded the chrome, but when I was assigned to take the test, it wasn’t working. I had to borrow my brother's HP computer so I could take the test. I wanted to know if it all Apple products that cannot really work with the ATI. I’m in the process of buying a laptop but I need to know a good laptop that would be good for proctoring

Any Apple laptop will work when set up correctly for taking the test from home and meeting the tech requirements. If you just need a laptop to take the test from home there are cheap PC/windows laptops for as little as $300, but generally they won't last as long. The best thing you can do is make sure everything is set up correctly and do the test trial run a few days before the test.

Can the proctored exam be taken at a library on a laptop or library computer?

You can only take the test in a room that is private or at least does not have anyone else in the room, they will scan your room with the web camera. So if you have a room like that available to you at the library you could do that especially if you were using your own laptop, just make sure there won't be anyone interrupting you in the room. We would highly advise not using a library computer, there are a lot of very specific settings that need to be done on the computer and that will likely be difficult to have that kind of admin access/permissions on a public library computer.We hope that helps!
