How to take your toddlers paddling

Our 1, 2, and 3 year old kids have forced quite the adjustment on our adventuring logistics since the easy sleeping pre-kid days. Now what? Is outdoor life over? Is the backcountry dead to us? Will we ever travel light again? While you may not like some of the answers, all is not lost. Learn how you (or your freshly minted parent travel companions) can still responsibly get out on the water (or elsewhere) with toddlers in your tandem.

Love this video! So full of useful info! We took our 1-year-old lake paddling today and he's for sure outgrown the infant setup we had for him (bassinet from the stroller on the canoe floor combined with ergo carrier on dad). Now he's just climbing everywhere and trying to touch the water. You mentioned not to tie them to the boat... the thought for sure crossed my mind! What do you recommend for young toddlers in terms of where to put them in the canoe and on what?
