Lifelong New Jerseyan here. I'm in Atlantic County, but grew up in Morris County. I never heard of Cabbage Night. It was always Mischief Night for me. Also I've never heard of Disco Fries, except in articles and videos like this. Diners started out as small buildings built in factories. Many diner companies were located in New Jersey in the early to mid 20th century. Most remaining diners now are site built. Diners do serve breakfast all day, and I usually take advantage of that. I've never heard of Rippers, and am not familiar with Jimmy Buff's. I've never had tomato pie, and never knew anyone that did. Also, never heard of a fat sandwich. I've also never used the term grease truck, and never heard it used.

Shoobies were day trippers from Philly who carried their lunch in a shoebox to eat on the beach.

Fat Sandwiches did originate in New Brunswick but started when the Grease Trucks were over off college Ave-rarely were there any real vegetables included other than say lettuce/tomato- popular was the fat Darryl/Fat Sal which is chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, French Fries and Marinara. Perfect for coming off a bar crawl on Easton Ave to absorb the alcohol intake.

They're called Benny's because they bring their $100 bills with them to spend... Their bennys. Benjamin Franklin's on the $100...

Actually, they're called Bennys because they would daytrip to the shore by train or bus from Bayonne, Elizabeth. Newark, and New York...also Shoobies because they would arrive at the beach in socks and shoes

First of all, "AC" is not a word, and secondly no one from NJ talks like this.
