How to talk to a kid with ADHD

Another great video! I was just recently thinking about how silly it is that lectures are so common in education, or really that different subjects resemble each other at all in the way they're taught. Instead of creating a method of education that would best fit the subject, we just have this blanket standard for all education: the lectures + exams method (mind you, I'm talking as an American). I think we should ask ourselves more often what it is that professionals in these fields actually do, and then try to imitate that in a controlled environment. Let people learn through (mentored) experience. Art education seems to be the only one we've sort of gotten right to some degree, mostly in its hands-on approach (and I suppose the alternative would just sound silly).

Thanks Spoon! Education definitely needs an overhaul. We're leaving a lot of kids behind mostly cause they don't fit into this neat "one size fits all" teaching method they devised...iono centuries ago?

I liked this video Jack! You know what’d be great to get your take on? Cooking. My brain can’t do it and doesn’t understand how to structure the groceries, to the cooking, or the eating. I think it’s the ADHD. My goal for the year is to start cooking for myself. But I struggle to find any system or resource that works. So you should maybe make a vid on that if u think it’s interesting ;)

Funny you should mention that, I actually have a script for that right now, but I'm refining in mostly cause it's a lot of B-Roll where I'm cooking stuff, so I need to plan carefully. But it's coming!
