⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you struggle with man bun flyaways and you're looking for a way to get rid of them, you are watching the right video, and I want you to keep watching. Hello everybody and welcome back to my channel. My name's Thomas, if you're brand new here and I make style and hair related videos every single week.
Click this link for my hair growth Facebook group: manbunsandmane...
Once you get over to my website, navigate to the Hair Growth Community page and follow the prompts :).
P.S, here's a list of my favourite man bun accessories: thomasinaction...
Zeatar Eye masks: zeatar.com/
Welcome to episode two of my monthly man bun series. In my first video, or my first episode, I covered ten different types of man buns, you can find the entire playlist here: • Man Bun Series (Monthl...
Essentially, what this is, it's just like a monthly check-in for all of us man bun growers or man bun wearers to come in and check-in about our man buns and give each other tips.
So if that's your kinda thing, make sure you hit that subscribe button and come back every single month. Actually, I post every Monday so subscribe and see me every Monday, OK? But the main topic of today is, of course, taming our flyaways 'cause I know it's a bet peeve of a lot of people who have man buns and today I'm gonna show you my quick method of doing it.
Look, I'm very simple about this, all I need is a heat protector, obviously, because I'm gonna be using a heating iron to get these, like, in action. And, I also need some kind of product, so I always recommend a strong hold product. I've got three of my favourite here. I've got my BluMaan Cavalier Clay, I've got my Hybrid cream, and I've also got Claymation. You don't have to use any of these, these are like 19.50 to 20 dollars online if you wanna buy them. But if you wanna use a supermarket brand, just make sure you get a hard hold, don't get something that's flimsy, like a paste because it'll just let them prong out even more and certainly, the number one thing is do not use a gel.
People that have been following me for a couple of years now will know that I hate gel, and if you use gel on your flyaways it pretty much just stiffens them and makes them prick out even more, which is definitely not what you want, so avoid gel at all costs. Hate gel. So yeah, I just need a heat protector, I need a strong hold product, I'm going to be using Cavalier Clay today, and a heating iron.
For all the details on how I use the products mentioned above, make sure you watch the video :).
Thanks again for watching this video and remember to give it a thumbs up if you enjoyed it as it really helps me grow and create more content on youtube. Love You!

I just take some(very little) Brylcreem in hand and add a couple of drops of water, rub it over my palms and then apply it over the top portion of my head where we usually have flyaways. It works like a charm. I do this after doing the bun not before. I even apply whats left on my palms on the bun itself and then on the back side of my head. Gives a nice slick look. Takes care of even those little flyaways.

Just got my ManBun today after a year of growing. I have a medium bun style and I love it. I got a tip from my Barber who said because I have straight hair I should use pure olive oil and not products on my hair. He said it gives it enough hold to last all day and keeps you're hair and scalp in grate shape.

I don’t use any thing in my hair and I don’t have fly aways. I just wash it 2 times a week and then I have some oils I diluted and mixed. Maybe it’s just the texture of my hair idk, but I feel like your hair is just to dry so it doesn’t hold together. Oils from your scalp are natural and good for your hair, most people I know with any type of issue with long hair is due to them over washing it and making it dry and brittle

I’m at that awkward phase of growing my hair out. And I’m so tempted to cut it!!!! Like the lower back of my hair looks so odd even compared to other ppl going thru this phase. And I hate the fact that the back of my head/skull is flat so I don’t have that nice round shape which worries me cause the reason why I’m growing my hair is for the man bun. And imma have a flat head man bun!!! :(

I know this video is old. But i hope people still see it. I drive allot and windows down most of the time. I have not tried any sort of gel or strong hold. If try that will my hair just get messed up anyway and all the fly aways will come back out to play. Or will the strong hold do a good job at taming that.

I am curly but not so curly as an afro. When I started letting my hair grow, I looked like a 70s African singer for 10 months, until I could tie it up. It took another 3 months until it couldn't get afro anymore and just fell down. Now I enjoy my long hair so, That's the process I went through, and I got to tolerate being afro for a whole school year...

Hey Thomas, I’ve got a question. I’ve been growing out my hair from a blended undercut. The sides are longest closer to the top of my head are 4 inches and the top is about 9 inches in the front and around 6 inches at the back. I think it looks absolutely terrible, especially from the back it looks like a mushroom cut lol. I’m just not quite sure what to do about it. I know you grew your hair from a disconnected under cut and the top was initially quite long so I was wondering how you went about doing it. Like if you just kept the top the same length while the sides were growing or just let it all grow then blended it all once the sides were longer. I was also wondering what you think I should do with my hair, should I cut the top down to around the same length as the sides then just keep it all growing or once the sides are getting long should I just even it all out? Right now I’m thinking that the latter is the best idea because I don’t really wanna lose any length. Or if you have another idea or something. Sorry this comment is long. I’ve been really enjoying your hair growth videos they’ve been really helping me out with my hair growth journey. Thanks!

Push through it is really what I can tell you. It was around the 9 month time of NO TRIMS that I finally had my hair to start to get out of the awkward phase. But to tolerate these painful months, I wore beanies and hats a lot. It will be a great payoff when you kinda shoot for a month that your shortest hairs will reach the spot that you will put your hair in a hair tie. Hair grows half an inch a month for the average person and it’s the same for me. So I knew I had to grow another three inches for my shortest hairs to reach a length that can be in a hair tie. That was 6 months of waiting I had to persevere and if you started around January, you can shoot for September or October for it to be long enough to finally be put in a bun!

Thomas - thanks for the video. You mentioned that for product, you need a hard hold. What about wax? Is that considered too flimsy?

Question, I've been growing my hair for maybe 5 months a it's really long. When I try and put it in a bun or pull it back, the hairs in the front don't reach the back. How would I fix this?
