I feel like this was so simple and yet I both never warmed my beard balm for that long nor brushed after applying instead before applying it. Thanks for the advice.

My beard is like a welder’s wire brush, the longer it gets, the worse it looks. I can comb it and get all the tangles out only to have to do it again 10 minutes later! Balm doesn’t seem to work.

I have a two month beard but the balm still won't control the wild beard hairs but it does help a bit. I'm guessing, maybe a further two months growth (longer hair), will make it easier for the balm to control the beard. I'm hoping anyway. Cheers!

Bro, use maximum hold styling wax for your head hair, but on your beard....trust lol Run enough on your hands so you don't see white clumps and wipe gently down on your beard before you go out, and those hairs will be styled down.

@@JAYJAYBEBE I don't use balm on my head as I'm bald. I use balm on my beard. I use it as I should but there are still many stray hairs sticking out. To control them I'd have to put a thick layer of balm which would be gross. I have very wiry and curly hair on my face.

Sometimes balm lets some crazy hairs slip through the cracks but longer hairs should definitely be easy to control since they have the length to hold themselves together. You have a few options right now, use some more balm than usual or try a beard and mustache wax for max hold. Do some research and you'll know which one is best for you!
