Very cool. One of my biggest lessons was from the film, "Som." To gain a palate, you have to smell. Therefore, whenever I'm out, I try to smell anything I can to build that encyclopedia in my head. Just yesterday I was at a store that had Eucalyptus soap. Now I have that stored in my memory bank in case I need to describe "Eucalyptus."

Love that film. I think there is definitely something to just trying to smell and taste the entire world. I think methods like that really go a long way in describing beer. Thanks for chiming in and watching!

This really is one of, if not our number one, favorite place to get beer. Chris is unbelievably friendly, and so are all of the others we've ran into there. Glad you had a great time!

My go-to "Don't think too much about it" beer is Shiner Bock... can find it everywhere here and has some body and flavor to it but nothing too harsh or powerful

Ha! Thanks, Mario. This is Cory (The guy on the right). I was a little nervous this shoot, Chris is a guy we respect a lot and it was early on before I was comfortable in front of a camera. Double whammy of nerves going on, but I think (or at least I hope) that we've gotten better in the past few years. Thanks for tuning in and liking the video. Cheers!

I'm trying to acquire the habit (sort of) of drinking a beer a day for the benefit that comes with guys, hahah! and just to start tasting diferent kinds of beers and so... you can Imagine I'm not thet old (19), and I havent had the biggest of the experiences with alcohol and stuff, like some poeple I know... but, guys! beer is beng a little to sour to me xD what do you recomend me to improve my experience with beer before discarding it?!
@Brewreviewcrew110 жыл бұрын
A beer-a-day challenge is certainly interesting for many reasons. First, your general health and well being will disintegrate before your eyes! (Just kidding! But you may put on a few lbs without some solid exercise) Secondly, your knowledge and appreciation of beers will absolutely expand. You will find new styles, come to love new styles, and learn the differences between beers within the same style! Thanks for watching and let us know how it goes!

BrewReviewCrew well yeah, obviously I take a lot of care of my health, I do calisthenics and endurance training and I'm looking forward to start integrating strength training to my weekly routine! I try to sleep well and eat in a balanced way, all this because I want to be the owner of my own gym and continue moving forward on that direction, and so, I like sciences too and I've read here and there that small quantities of wine and beer every now and then are in fact good for the heart, the brain, the bones, inmune system... and I decided to give it a try, you know? :) But man! sour foods have always been my enemies xD though already passing through some types of beers I starting to like more brown and dark ones! I'll be looking forward to your channel! and thanks for the reply too! :)

astroman0500 hey! I hope you are still drinking beer! Some.styles definitely come off sour, namely sours and I tend to think some German styles are a bit sour. I think you were right to check out darker more robust/roasty styles. Also check out IPA's, the bitterness will really dominate any sourness. And do check out actual sour beers. Then you will have a baseline to compare to.

Geeeez , give it up people , it looks like your trying to sell a dog turd , and your explaining your in ability to enjoy a drink. The purpose of drinking beer is that your too dam cheap to drink hard liquor. And your trying to convince yourself that you just can't run with the big boys. So get a life . and drink what you have . Most beer is just plain Horse Piss. Because the Brewer is trying to get rich off of your alcoholism.

Oh Thomas, making fun of someone's name? This is playground shit. No really this is what your people call Kindergartner? (Assuming you are American, forgive me if I'm wrong.) Where I'm from, my name's pretty common. So nobody within the boundaries of this country has a problem with it. And I don't plan on ever leaving it so I don't have to worry. Also kinda funny how someone with the generic name "Tom Scott" feels the need to critique mine's. For real though Thomas, you lost the argument the very moment you brought up petty shit. This was about beer, not my mother's drug habits. Even if she is a hardcore caffeine user.
