What I've learned the year I've been tattooing is everyone likes to say theres no set guidelines for tattooing then turn around and say what they do is the only way to tattoo correctly. Everyone is always trying to push their methods on you. this isn't the case there is kinda guidelines or a base method for tattooing but they don't tell you there's different ways of doing it and you need to find what works best for you.

YEAH!! I’ve noticed that too! Like I started tattooing and I’m still learning , and upon my researches I always find “do it the right way” and they tell you everyone has their own unique styles, which is very confusing, like at the moment I’m still trying to figure out HOW I should hold my machine, like I would see a lot of people hold it differently, which is very confusing.

I'm so glad I stumbled on this series! I felt like other tattooists were not as structured as I'd like. Should there be any liquid on the dabbing wipe when using fake skin? I tried some lines on cheaper fake skin, and it just seems to smudge up and stain the surface a lot when I try to dab with a paper towel.

Does it make a difference if one was to work from top of line down to the bottom instead of bottom to top?
