My best friend had a tea party for her bridal shower. The guests brought their own tea cups and then after the party left them as a gift for the bride. She still has them on display almost 14 years later.

Hi, tea drinker here. The traditional Irish/English way is black tea. Comparable here would be Lipton. Fill your tea pot with hot water to warm it up first. Then boil your water in a kettle on the stove or, I use a electric kettle. Empty out the tea pot and add the boiled water and and 2 - 3 tea bags. I personally cover the pot with a towel so the tea can steap a few minutes. Then serve with milk and sugar just like you would with coffee. For more people, I put out a couple of pots on the table, I have also used a coffee carafe to hold it too.

Yes, tea does taste better in porcelain or fine china tea cups. Once in a while I pull out my grandmother’s porcelain tea cup and enjoy myself a cup of brewed hot tea. I’m not sure exactly why but it just taste better. Try it some time in a regular modern ceramic cup and a cup in a porcelain cup. That’s the only way to see if you can tell the difference. Maybe it’s just the feeling you get from using such fine delicate tea cups, or the memories of those days gone by, or the loved ones you miss, but it’s just makes tea taste better.

For a casual tea you can perk in coffee maker then fill teapot. You can offer coffee at a Tea party. So cute & great ideas! Tea parties for young ones are a great opportunity to teach beginning ettiquett. 💐

Hi, Rebecca! I love hostessing tea parties and love your formal tea set! My tea parties are cottage style. I collect teapots and tea cups, so everything that I use is mixed and matched. My centerpieces and additional decor bring the theme together and create balance and symmetry. I serve a variety of teas, two kinds of tea sandwiches, sweeties, and scones with mock clotted cream. to make it a luncheon tea or high tea, I start off with a small cup of soup and a small salad. Serve with lemons, sugar, sweetener (I use stevia) and real cream or half and half. I love your videos. Please, keep sharing!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, wonderful tea party. Everything looked so delicious. When I give tea parties I use three or four different teas and teapots on the table. In the Afghan and Iranian cultures they prepare a teapot of very strong tea, and depending on each person's preference, pour the tea into the cup and dilute it with hot water from a large teakettle that is kept hot on the stove. Favorite teas are black, mint, or green tea with cardamom. My favorite tea is good old Lipton black tea!

I love ,love, love Tea Party's. My one sister has a tea party in September for all my sisters , and there girls .So there is about 18 of us as I'm the oldest of 6 girls. My sister has everyone bring something for the party like I brought Pumpkin Soup and Pumpkin cakes with cream filling . They were small and round . Another year I took chicken salad tea sandwiches with grapes , walnuts inside. I took them on my pretty 3 tier glass tray. My sister decorated hats for ever one to wear at the party and then you took them home . We played a game . And she decorate her home like a Tea Room . We all had so much FUN. I use several tea pots. My favorite teas are from Harney and sons. I use a loose tea in the tea pot and tea strainer to pour. Keep hot water going because they go quick!

Oh - they used tea cups and saucers that were very feminine and none of them matched. I'm a matchy match kind of person, but it did look nice. I use a mug at home. Sleepy Time tea doesn't make me sleepy lol - but it has a mild spearmint flavor and no caffeine, which does make it a nice choice for an evening drink.

I have seen a lot of the mis matched tea cups and saucers sets but I went to Good Will and didn't see anything I liked ...they actually had mostly coffee mugs...sO I ended up buying this set but I've already gotten so much use out of it and I'm sure we will continue to! I collect vintage and antique tea cups and tea pots, so none of mine match and my guests like picking out their own teacups each time they come over. I will usually pick out a few different teas and will brew each one in a different teapot, so I'll have about 4 teapots on the table at a time. I heat the water in an electric kettle and then steep the tea in the pots with little labels of what kind is in each. I let guests pour what they want. It's always just me and my family and friends, so we are very informal.

I went to a Tea at my friend's church recently - they did it as a fundraiser and it was really nice. They brought everyone the same plate of a variety of Tea Sandwiches (which I didn't care for - I prefer to choose what I would actually eat) and they had a wide variety of tea bags in cute baskets on the table. We were in a horseshoe of several tables and they had multiple tea pots of water scattered all about the table. That really did seem to work. I drink regular black tea (Good ole Lipton) at least 3 times a day. I also enjoy any fruit flavored and peppermint. Always like it hot. TFS It looked awesome as always

This was fun to watch and I think you should do party catering. You always have wonderful and whimsical ideas and such creativity. I’m Arabic and I have different sized stainless steel tea kettles and the largest is enough to serve a lot of people. We usually add mint or dried sage to our tea. 😊

Style My Sweets I add it to black loose tea or bags. We usually add fresh mint in the summer and during the winter we put dried mint and dried sage. The tea I like is called tea India. Dried or fresh mint with green tea is very good as well. My friend does it that way. You can even add a cinnamon stick with green tea along with the mint. You boil water and then add your dried herbs and let boil few seconds and turn off heat and add the tea. Enjoy friend! 💐💐😊😊😊

Your mother in law is very lucky to have a daughter in law like you who can plan such elegant beautiful tea party luncheon. The real flower arrangements were awesome. Your table setting & food were delightful! I have a friend who is famous for hosting large tea parties. She bought a large 50 cup coffee percolater which she uses to heat the water. She never uses that percolater to make coffee so that it doesn't impart a coffee taste into the water. The percolater has a spigot where you can easily place the hot water unto your teapots. These percolaters range in price from $40 to over $100. Google 50 cup tea maker or 50 cup coffee maker for sources. Believe this would easily solve your need to boil a lot of water at one time. My favorite tea is wild sweet orange. Peppermint tea is hard to beat. For a big wow, try some blooming tea that actually has flowers that bloom when you pour the water. It is best served in a clear tea pot where everyone can watch the magic. Your daughter would love it! Google blooming tea to find sources. Love your videos. You are a master party planner. You should start a party planning business!

I love tea parties and for the last 5 years I host an annual Ladies Christmas (High Tea)Tea Party every Christmas holiday season! I serve a variety of teas and then the ladies get a gift bag with their picks of teas. We like a variety of tea sandwiches, but we have non-traditional foods too, like hot crab dip. Your tea party is very nice. I loved seeing your daughter enjoying the tea party. I use my tea kettle to boil water and then transfer to the porcelain tea pots. Check out Homegoods when they put out their holiday decor for the fancy teaspoons. I look forward to trying your recipe. Very nice of you to do a tea party for your mother-in-law. I have been a tea drinker since my early teens. My favorite is English Breakfast. I keep my tea bags in an English biscuit jar. I put a dash of milk and a little sugar in mine since I don't do artificial sweetners. Your tea party looks lovely and the scones delicious!

Nice job. Try getting a few more teapots. They can be different patterns. It's fun to collect them. Also if you plan on hosting more tea parties it might be wise to invest in one of those tall coffee percolators to keep hot water going for the duration, just remove the basket and stem.

I am a new subscriber.. that was an adorable idea..I did a tea dress up party for my daughters 5th birthday. I bought bowas and I found right after Holloween a bunch of princess dresses, flapper dresses, just any dress that would look like a dress up for girls. I hung them up and each girl took their turn not seeing what was on the rack in the bedroom with their moms and came out all dressed up. Then the girls all together were putting on makeup together I had bought from the dollar store each of them one of the white buckets from the wedding section and put their very own eyeshadow palet a lipstick and a rouge for their cheeks. Then they came to the table that I made with miscellaneous tea cup sets and miscellaneous china all from the Goodwill. It was so cute! All the moms wanted to stay! I served them chocolate and powder sugar donuts, there were candies galore..just all finger foods. I did do PB&J!( only because there were nit any peanut allergies in the bunch.I just had to share this with you because It was so much fun for her!

I love your tea party!! I’ve had many for my grand babies. They absolutely love them. I have a silver tea set that I inherited from my beloved mother 30 yrs ago. I put tea bags in the pots, two different flavors, and I have a steam pot that is the best thing since sliced bread. I simply heat the steam pot and pour into my tea pots. I do this quite a while before serving because it is very hot in the silver pots. Where did you get the brown sugar cubes or recipe to make them? Thanks for a lovely video!!

Growing up I had tea parties with my paternal grandma and her mom. So many fond memories. We had a tea kettle to refill the pot. As for tea I like tazo zen and vanilla rooibos parfait. Also the best green tea is from an asian market. There is so much more flavor then what you can get at any other store.

Hi! I just stumbled across your video and really enjoyed it. When serving tea to a crowd, use the hot/cold thermal pitchers to store extra hot water. I have several white ones which go with any dishes.. You can actually serve the hot water out of those and use your pretty china teapot as a centerpiece to display flowers.🙂🫖
